Too Much Pink??!! Never!!!!

Of course anyone that knows me knows that I looooove pink! Its my absolute fav! So I saw this card done on Pickled Papers and loved it. So I had to use her colors and make it into a calender and card. You can visit her card here http://pickledpaperdesigns.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html.

My friend Alice and I have been trading calenders for years. Before that we did calenders with a stamp club we used to belong too. For next year Lynn decided to join us and we decided to make all our calenders at once so we would have a whole year at one time. Previously Alice and I were just giving them to each other one month at a time.

We each have 4 months to do. I decided to get mine all done this weekend and also to make a card to match each calender. Then I decided to have a theme for all 4 of my months. Can you tell what my theme is? Tea or coffee related.

I just got this set in the mail yesterday. I bought it because of the card I saw on Pickled Paper's blog. So I decided to use it for my 1st month. This set is called Tea for Two and it is by My Favorite Things. I love the little bunnies in the cup. I used basic grey papers from the bittersweet collection. Also pretty in pink and chocolate chip stampin up cardstock. The month is from hero arts and the calender is from Paper Inspiration. I used my oval nesties and for the month I used a stampin up sizzix die and the large oval punch. I used Our Craft Lounge's White Sparkly Fluff on the bunnies tail and Icicle stickles on the dots on the tea cup. I used several different flowers I had laying around and some stampin up brads and a martha stewart leaf punch. The ribbon is also from stampin up.

On the card I added a tag because I am also using the card for Kraftin Kimmies blog challenge this week is anythin with a tag.

I found the little spoon charm I had had forever.
The stamp set is from Papertrey Ink and is called Warm Happiness. Dont ya just love that name? I added Yellow stickles on the spots on the cocoa cup. It makes me feel warm to just look at it.

Stick Chicks

I used to love stick chick stamps but havent used them in like forever. They are made by american art stamps. This one is called building a snowman. I found it when I went to the beach with the girls in like june or july but it was a wood mounted price for a cling mounted stamp so I put it back. Then when I went to the beach with Kati last month or so it was on sale for like $5. So I thought to myself thats more like it and got it. I cant remember where the ds paper is from but the cardstock is stampin ups blue bayou and purely pomegranite. Both retired in-colors from a few years ago. I think that is also Old Olive. I used stampin up punches and my nesties. Colored it with copic markers and glittered it. The ribbon is also retired stampin up.

Another Fall Card!

This is a fall card I did for stamp club. I saw this card at Craft Warehouse on a stampendous display and totally changed the papers. I used basic grey designer paper indian summer maple sugar and stampin ups incolors crushd curry and rich razzleberry. Both the butterfly and the sentiment are from stampendous. They are the rubber unmounted ones on cling plastic. Even tho they are acrylic you can still place them really well like when I used the pumpkin on top of rocco's head in a previous card. I colored the butterfly with my incolor stampin up markers and watercolor brush.

TESC87 and last KKSC2

I combined two challenges for this card. 1st I made it for Taylors sketch challenge for this week. tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com. I felt it needed a little something else so I added the flower at the top with a button so I decided it would work for kraftin kimmies button challenge also. Isnt this little guy cute? That is almost more cupcake than he can handle. I stamped him with black versafine. That is one thing about using my watercolor pencils again. I really missed using my versafine. It is so much darker than the inks you have to use with copic markers. I know there are pros and cons to everything. I used my su in colors rich razzleberry and bermuda bay. I felt they go really well with the basic grey lemonade designer papers I used. The sentiment is from Impression Obsession and the adorable little mouse is from Whiff of Joy. I used the stampin up scallop punch for the sentiment and my nesties for the mouse. I sponged bermuda bay ink around all the edges and found some flowers in my stash. The ribbon is su also rich razzleberry.

Kraftin Kimmies Challenge

I am participating in Kraftin Kimmies Challenge for this week. It is a button challenge. You have to have buttons on your card. This is my second card. I will show the 1st one later. I found these buttons at Craft warehouse. I just love them. I had seen some like this at a yarn store in Newport awhile back on a sweater but they were different colors. At the time I was thinking those would be great on a card. So I have been looking for some every since.
I started making this card because I wanted to use the santas. They are from High Hopes. I bought them last year and never used them. I think they are so cute and the sentiment is perfect with them. It is from High Hopes also.
I decided to take a break from my copic markers and used my colored pencils and watercolor brush. I really liked how it turned out.
The papers are from stampin up. Real Red and Christmas Cocoa designer paper. I guess its about that time of year to make christmas cards.

My 2nd card TESC86

I made a 2nd card for taylors sketch challenge. I used one the stamps from her set. I love these flowers. You can check it out for yourself at her online store. She is great. I used papers Deena's Paper Lane from My Minds Eye. I love how soft this card looks. I think it would be a great birthday or wedding card. I used it as a thinking of you card. The stamp is from Endless Creations. I love the font on this stamp. I have a Happy Birthday stamp from them also. It looks it was handwritten. I had a little ribbon left from some wedding card samples I did awhile back and got these little ribbons at a stamp store in Newberg. I colored the image with copic markers and layered it with my nesties then put some pink candy dodahs I bought from Taylors online store awhile ago. I used Pink Piroutte and Baja Breeze for the cardstock. I really love these two colors and will be so sorry to see them go when I run out.

She is great. I colored her with copic markers and added some glitter to her scarf. I used my new punch from stampin up and my border punch from Ek Success. I thought stampin up cardstock bermuda bay and orchid opulence go perfect with these papers.

TESC86

This is Taylors sketch challenge for the week. http://www.tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com/. I love doing her challenges. I try almost every week. Sometimes I dont make it. This weekend has been tough because my shoulder has been acting up and issues at work so I havent had the energy to stamp alot. Plus I havent cleaned my table from the last three projects so it is a mess. But we all go on right?

Fall Card!

I used a stamp set I have had for about a year for this card. It is from Flourishes and is called Autumn Flourish. It is a cool set. Some neat leaves and some cool leave swirls. I used a Kaleidacolor pad. I have a whole drawer full and pulled one out. It is one of my favorites, Creole Spice. I stamped the leaves randomly and then used a sponge to fill in the blank spaces. I used stampin up cs more mustard and almost artichoke. The Happy Thanksgiving is from stampin set. Cant remember which one now and my stamp room is such a mess I cant find the box. I think its still in my cabinet and one of my kitties is sleeping in front of it and I dont want to disturb him. I used some ribbon from http://www.codwholesale.com/ that perfectly matches almost artichoke cardstock. I pulled one of my leaves out from my craft warehouse stash to set off the sentiment.

Parka Penquins

I love these little Parka Penquins from Our Craft Lounge. I think they are so fun. I used the Martha Stewart Icicle Punch for the top and ran it thur my xyron machine and glittered it. I used Our Craft Lounge White Sparkly Fluff on her hood and his hat and glittered the bottom for snow. I also glittered the snowflakes. My papers are stampin up kiwi kiss and melon mambo cardstock and My Minds Eye Colorful Christmas collection designer papers.
I went to town to the scrapbook store today and bought some Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses collection and some other fun christmas papers too.
Also the sentiment on this card is from Impression Obsession Let It Snow set. On the pink border around the penquins I stamped the little snowflake with Papertrey ink Fresh snow white ink.

Just A Note!

This is my invite to my next stamp club. I used this cute this gal from stamping bella. I found this designer paper at a stamping store on saturday and just love the colors, so I pulled colors out from it and really like the way it turned out. I found a card like this on Michelle Wooderson's blog last year I think and have wanted to do this every since. The background stamp that looks like notebook paper is from Cornish Heritage Farms. The block I had to buy for it cost more than the stamp. But its the first time I have used it and I have had it at least a year. I made my own flowers with the same papers and running it thru the cuttlebug with the textile and bubble embossing folders and stuck a brad in the middle. I used Rich Razzleberry for the notebook stamp and colored the bella with copic markers. The little rug on the floor is from a Papertrey ink set called Warm Happiness.

TESC85

This is my card for TESC85 Taylors Sketch challenge from http://www.tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com/. I love the little hedgehogs from Penny Black. This little gal is from a set called Tiny Wishes. I colored her hat to match a hat Kati had when she was a little girl. It was black velvet with a flower just like this. I think she actually still has it packed away somewhere.
The papers are the lemonade collection from Basic Grey and stampin up cardstock Baja Breeze. I have about 1 pack left of Baja Breeze. I am really going to miss it when its gone. I am not a blue person but I love this color. It goes with everything. My ribbon is baja breeze also and I used my new modern label punch from stampin up. My nesties and some flowers. I also colored her with copic markers.

More Halloween Cards

Here is another Halloween card I made. I could decide which version I liked best so I made half of both. The legs are from Stampendous and the Eye of Newt and spider web are MFT's Totally Witchin. I found the designer paper 1st with the legs so then I had to get the stamp too. I used some Halloweeny ribbon I got last year at michaels and all stampin up punches. All stampin up cardstock also.

My New Monkeys!

These are my new stampendous monkeys. I cant resist these little guys. I love how they all have cute little sayings that go perfect with them. I had purchased a saying along time ago that says "tada!". Now I know it goes with this little guy at the bottom holding his arms out. When Kati was a little girl she always liked to pose for the camera (she actually still does), she would hold her arms out just like this little monkey. I have lots of pictures of her like that. I will have to use him on a scrapbook page some day with pictures of her.

November Calender!

Here is my last calender for this year. Next year there will be three of us doin them and we are going to get them all done by Decemeber 15 and then next year we will have a full year all at once. I used my JustRite Stampers for the month and my paper inspiration calender stamp. Also the leaves and pumpkins are from stampin ups Autumn Harvest. My turkey paper is Reminisce Turkey Trot. I layered it with su pumpkin pie. I also used some Jolie artwork for the turkey and little girl. I added some fall leaves for color and used Autumn Expressions set from Inkadinkadoo.
So, I place my last stampin up order this week. I have decided definately not to be a demonstrator anymore. Stampin Up supposedly encourages "hobby demonstrators" but evidently not with their strict new rules. There are too many great stamps out there and its nice to give credit where credit is due.
