Egans Gardens Revisited!

Two Colors on this one!

The little green leaves in front are my original begonias!

Two different kinds of flowers!
I havent been stamping much for the last few days. I have been busy with yard work and buying flowers. There is a great Nursery north of Salem that I used to go to when I lived there. I went back for the first time is 20 years this weekend.
We were looking for sunflowers for the in-laws yard and decided to go here.
It is called Egans Gardens. They have the most gorgeous flowers I have ever seen and such a great variety. They had Begonias in colors I had never seen them in before. The pictures dont due them justice. The top one is two colors, yellow and a peachy color. They are huge and so beautiful!
They had greenhouses in the back that I dont think we were supposed to go into. I think they were the ones to keep the extra stock in. One greenhouse had all these different flowers but in mostly the same colors. They were so awesome.
I just love flowers so this was a great treat for me to go there. I bought three flats of flowers. I sent my husband a text of them with a picture and told him I was just picking up a few flowers.
But of course when I got them home and planted it didnt seem like so many and I just wanted to go back and get some more. ( I am stopping there on the way to Salem tomorrow just for a few!!)
The bottom picture has two different kinds of flowers the ones one the right will grow into a bush and attact Hummingbird. The ones on the left are Rock Roses I think and they have three different color flowers on them. They are so awesome!!
I will be back tomorrow with a craft project!!

Repainting of the Lighthouse!

For fathers day this year Kati helped her dad repaint the lighthouse. They went for a whole new look. I showed pictures in 2011 when the lighthouse was originally built and the pond and waterfalls were done. There wasnt alot of flowers but now the yard is packed with flowers. Everything is getting big and expanding!
I love the new look of the lighthouse!
Here is the blue lighthouse and the yard back then!

Crazy Flowers!

Here are some flowers from our backyard. My begonia didnt bloom until at least late August and then it really filled out and is beautiful. This purple flower is something the hubby planted in a hot spot and it seems to be doing good. Then their is the tiny begonia that barely grew but still put out a pretty flower, even tho it is so small!!
Our hydrangea in the backyard has not bloomed all year!
Happy Stamping (and smelling the flowers)!

ICE OR SNOW????

This is our front yard and street this morning! I cant tell if it is just frost or if it snowed. My hubby said the streets are fine but he leaves around 3am so I dont know if it looked like this when he left this morning. It was 29 degrees when I got up and then dropped to 28. Very CHILLY!
I feel like I should be home making penquin cards today but I am off to work instead!

Flower of the Week!

Instead of a flower this week, I am showing some pictures of our whole yard my hubby took yesterday. It was such a gorgeous day out and the yard is looking so pretty. So of it still needs a layer of dirt but he just finished putting a new layer in the middle section. If we had taken these a few hours later it would have looked even better because we bought some beautiful heather to go down one side.
Thanks for looking!

Beautiful Spring Flowers!

It was soooo gorgeous today. I spent most of the day indoors working on projects that Kati ordered from me so even tho I did make some things I didnt get any pictures taken of them. BUT I did go outside a little bit and noticed this right outside the front door. How have I missed how beautiful it is?? The sun was shining on it and the flowers with the fern looked so woodsy and so beautiful, I just had to take its picture to share with everyone.
I hope you all enjoyed your saturday and will also enjoy your sunday!

Lighthouse!

My hubby has been doing some work on our yard this summer. The city put trees in shortly after we moved in and the roots were killing our grass. So he dug it all up and put in this pond with waterfalls and built this lighthouse himself. The waterfall closest to the chair isnt quite finished and he needs to separate a plant a little. Also the lighthouse needs some boulders around the bottom and I think a window in the center. But otherwise I think he did an AWESOME job.
Hope you enjoy the pictures.
