You Shine So Bright!

Here is a card I made for a few different challenges. I used a digital image from Instyle Stamps. It is one of their digital images. The hearts and scalloped border are chipboard and painted with glitter acrylic paints. After I started painting I realized I should have colored them 1st because the color of paint doesnt show up very well. The sentiment I googled digital sentiments to find something close to what I wanted. I cant remember what the name of the website was. I colored the image with my copic markers and glitter it. Then layered it with pink Pirouette and black with nestibilities. I had the papers in my stash and also the flowers. I bent the edges of the sentiment to make it 3-d and add some heart ribbon that I had left over from my Peddler Pack cards.
Here are the challenges I made the card for:
Digital Tuesday - Sketch
Crafty Catz - Flowers

Henry and His Cupcake!

I love this little Henry stamp and his cupcake. He is from Whiff of Joy.
For this card I used 4 different spellbinder dies. The cardstock is Early Espresso and Very Vanilla (SU) and also Hawaiin Shores (PTI). I colored Henry with copics and gave his cupcake a little glitter.
I also added some roses and rhinestones. The cream ribbon is SU also.
The ds paper is from one of DCVW and is from either The Kitchen Stack or The Sweet Shoppe. I cant remember which. I was stamping with my Sis yesterday and she let me borrow some of her paper.
I made Henry for these challenges:

Whiff of Joy - Chocolate, Cream and Teal
Little Red Wagon - Lace
CLP Sketch Challenge - Sketch

I hope you enjoy Henry.

Fussy And Fancy Friday Challenge!

Here is my card for fussy and fancy friday challenge. The challenge this week is a Valentines card without pink or red and we used a digi image fromDi's Digis. So I choose this cute little kitty couple. I think they are adorable. I used my copic markers to color them and my new heart spellbinders.
Also for this card I used the sketch for this week from sketch saturday.
I like the way this card turned out. I used papers from a DCWV paper pack I have had for a few years that has lasted even tho I use it alot. It is actually from Nanas baby boy pack, I think its called. Which is funny for being for a boy that is a lot of purple in it.
I used a martha stewart punch and added some flowers. My sentiment at the top is from Peddlers Pack.

4th Day for Peddlers Pack!

This is my 4th Peddlers Pack card. I should have more next week. I colored the image twice and then cut out the hearts and mounted them on top of the image. The border punch is from Martha Stewart. I love the heart ribbon. That is from Peddlers pack also. I also used the heart cuttlebug embossing folder on the bottom  layer of the card. I colored the image with copic markers and addes some little roses.
I hope you have enjoyed Peddlers Pack week and will check them out.
Tomorrow I will have my card for Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge. I hope you will come check it out.

Day 3 of Peddlers Pack Week!

This is another card with Peddlers Pack stamps. The image and sentiment are from them. I embossed the sentiment in cold. Then used some gold paper I think I even bought from Peddlers Pack years ago and bazzill red cardstock. I used nestibilities from spellbinders for the sentiment and a little heart punch for the flowers. I used a white card base and some red satin ribbon.
Also I used my new scalloped and regular heart nesties. The medium sized hearts at the top are also from spellbinders.

2nd Day for Peddlers Pack!

This guy was a bit of a challenge for me. The mailman had doggie bones in his pocket and the little doggie that goes with him has a bone in his mouth. So I punched little hearts out and filled his pockets and the dogs mouths with them. The dog is one image. I stamped him once, masked him and then stamped him again. I colored the images with copic markers. Since I couldnt use designer papers I made strips of red and white paper and layered the white strips with red satin ribbon. The bigger hearts I punched with a martha stewart punch and put white dots on the red hearts with a signo gel pen and red dots on the white heart with a red glitter pen. Then I added a bow with the red satin ribbon on the upper corner of the card.

Day 1 of Peddlers Pack Week!

This is day one of my Week Of Peddlers Pack Cards.
All stamps are Peddlers Pack. I used nestibilites and cuttlebug. The papers and ribbon were also given to me by Joyce at Peddlers Pack. I also added the dew drops. I also used the main image stamp as a little bit of a background stamp around the edge. In addition to the dew drops I applied stickles around the edge of the red center piece.
Remember you can vist them here. Or go check them out in person if you can.
You could even take a fun class while you are there.

New Magnolia Tilda

This is one of my new magnolias. I just received her in the mail on friday. I think she is so cute. She is from the You Are  So Special collection that just came out. Some people have her on Pre-Order and some have her available. I used the sketch challenge from the  Just Magnolia  blog challenge.
Also over at Magnolia Down Under you are to reduce, reuse, recycle. That is their challenge this week. So my ribbon is some I have REUSED. It is from a birthday gift from a friend. Part of my gift was actually a Magnolia also.
My card is for one more challenge. It is to have a sentiment.  You can find that challenge here. So three challenges today for this brand new Tilda card.
I used some digital papers I downloaded and mentioned earlier from Fred She Said. You can find her on my side bar. She has great stuff. I colored this image with my copics and some glitter pens. Cut her out and layered her with my spellbinder nestiblitites and added some dew drops and a Stampin Up sentiment.

Design Team #3

I went into Peddlers Pack Stamp store last weekend. I was talking to Joyce (the owner) about being invited to be on two design teams this year. She was asking how that works and I was explaining a little bit about each one.
Then she asked if I would like to be on a design team for her and I said YES! She said I was the 1st one. So I walked out with a bag of Peddler Pack Stamps, some bazzill papers, neenah paper and some ribbon.
I can only use Peddlers Pack stamps. Spellbinders dies are okay and NO designer papers.
So this has been a real challenge for me because anybody that knows me knows what a paper hog I am!!! I love those designer papers.
So I have done a few cards so far and will be dedicating this next week just to Peddlers Pack.
So stayed tuned for cards from them this week.
For anyone that is not close enough to drive to check out their store, you can check them out here.
If you are close enough to go visit them, they have A LOT more stuff than just Peddlers Pack. So go check them out!

4th Card Set!

Here is my 4th card box set. Again I used scraps so I really couldnt tell you where the paper came from but the cardstock is black and pretty in pink. The punch is martha stewart and I framed the monogram with black with a scalloped circle nestie. The ribbon is stampin ups pretty in pink satin ribbon. I love this ribbon, I think it is so pretty and elegant.
Again, if you havent any of the previous card box set notes. This cool box has a magnetic closure on the front. You can get these boxes from http://www.tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com/. She has great stuff. Great ideas too. Also, the monograms are from Talyor too. You get all the letters of the alphabet in square and circles and they have I think think for four different designs aroung the letter. Like this one with the circle and dots. One with two lines. One is black and scalloped. Cant remember what the other is. Then you punch them out. I use one of the stampin ups circle punches. Taylor also has a great selection of u-tube videos on her sight. They are very informative. Thats how I fell for these card boxes. She is great. She also ships very quickly. Even tho she is in like Iowa or Ohio or somethng now, she is still so quick. I ordered on christmas eve day, got a email that it shipped on christmas day and recieved it the monday after christmas. Try to figure that out.

Third Card Box Set!

Are you getting tired of seeing these yet? I still have one more to show and two more to make so there will be some more coming.
These were made with some scraps of one of my favorite papers. I also used a Martha Stewart punch and some of the yummy new Seam Binding Ribbon from the new Stampin up Mini catalogue. I almost have this in all the colors now. They do also have Very Vanilla, so if there is a color not available you would like you can always dye it with your re inkers.
Sorry I am in a hurry this morning. Off to work and stamp club tonight!

Another Card Box set!

Here is another set of cards in a box I did.The punch is Matha stewart and I used Taylored Expressions stamp set again. Also misc ribbon and cardstock. The initials are a down load from taylored expressions.
The paper is orchid opulence (discontinued) and black. The ribbon is Papertrey Ink Moon Mist I think.
I still have two more of these to share and got another order today. This time they requested red, black and white. I think that will be really pretty!

Card Boxes!

Well, I had all last week off work and spent most of the week working on things for other people and stamp clubs. Now everything is done and today I get to stamp whatever I want. Yeah! Those 100 baby invites were exhausting. I figured it took me about 24 hours to complete them . I dont have a photo yet. I guess I should take one before the leave tomorrow.
Here is one of the 4 card kits I did for my boss. She just told me the initials and let me do whatever I wanted so that made it a little more fun. All the designer papers and most of the cardstock except the white bases were all scraps. So that was nice to get rid of a few scraps. This particular set was two different papers. The polka dot is Papertrey Ink. I did have to pull a full sheet out of my stash now that I think about about it. The card box is from Taylored Expressions and so are the initials. She has a great download for initials. Round ones, square ones. Different designs. Its real cool. You can check all her stuff out here. She has great ideas and a great store.

Baby Blossoms!

Both of these cards are made with items out of the new mini Stampin Up catty. I used the baby blossoms set and the sentiments. (I cant remember the name of the sentiment set). For the colors of ink I used Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Melon Mambo, Pretty In Pink, Mellow Moss and Handsome Hunter. The papers are white, Melon Mambo, and Not quite Navy.I also used the designer papers Springtime Vintage.
The ribbons I have had in my stash for over 20 years. They were from my moms craft collection for the stuffed animals she used to make Puffalumps. They come in handy all the time.
I also use the Framed Tulips stampin up embossing folder. I used it as a frame and as a little line across the top of the center piece. I have found one flaw with this folder. Its hard to fold the card in half after you've used it and it also cuts into the paper at the top. So when I made an additional card I layered white on white and used a separate piece instead of embossing the base card. I think it gave the card a little bit more elegant look also.

First Card For Fussy and Fancy Friday Design Team!

Here is my first card for the design team at Fussy and Fancy Fridays. We got to use this sketch from Mindy. She makes the best cards ever!! You should go check her out.
Anyway, I am a little disappointed in how the picture of my card turned out. It looks so much cuter in real life.
We all got to choose a digi image from digi doodles. Anyone that knows me knows how I have hated frogs in the past. Only because we have so many right outside our bedroom window and from the 1st part of March until about the end of May, they are so loud they keep us awake at night. Because of this I seemed t be getting more and more frog images. I guess subconsciously maybe I really like them. Who knows. But I thought this image was adorable. Perfect for Valentines Day or anniversaries.
I printed out the image and colored it with copics. Then cut it out and layered it with nestibilities. I put these little green "candy" thingys I got about a year ago from Taylor's store. They are so cute. I think she has them in several colors.
The papers I used for this card are again from the Quite Contrary collection from My Minds Eye. There are quite a few different papers in this collection. I think it is so pretty and springy and most of their papers have a cool feel to them like wallpaper. I get them alot at Craft Warehouse but our local scrapbook store carries them too. The ribbon I used is a discontinued ribbon from Stampin Up in my favorite color, Kiwi Kiss.
Also for the heart at the bottom, I used a Martha Stewart heart punch and to keep it dimensional I filled the back of it with glue from my hot glue gun and then stuck it on the card.
I hope you all get a chance to check us out at Fussy and Fancy Fridays. Each challenge runs for two weeks,
so their is lots of time to join in!

Digital Pansys!

I really love how this card turned out. I downloaded these pansys from Fred She Said. You can get them already colored or not colored and color them yourself. I got both. I purchased the colored pansys in purple too. They are so beautiful. I added dimensional glaze to the teacup to make it look like it was really porcelain. I cut out the pansys with the circle nestiblitlites and then the scalloped circle in Night of Navy SU cardstock. I then layered it with a doily. The papers in the background are three different papers all digital also from Fred She Said. They are so pretty. They came in about 4 different colors and designs. Probably more than that and they came with the colored images. So I have them in both blue and purple also.
The inside I also layered with the nestiblitlies and a doily. I cut out the pansy at the lower right. (Also on the front, I cut out three pansys) and glilttered them. I made six of these and did 3 Happy Birthday and 3 thinking of you. I then layered it with white and Night of Navy cs for the inside also.
I havent decided if digital  papers are more cost effective then buying them at the store. I can only print them in 81/2 x 11 not 12 x 12 and the ink cartridges are inexpensive but the pros for them are that they are instant. You need something and you have it. The longest process for my printer anyway is printing them out.
I hope you enjoy this card!

InStyle Stamps 1st Card!

This is my 1st card for InStyle Stamps as a new Chicklet.. We had a few images to choose from and this was the one I choose.
You can find all their images at InStyle Stamps. They have some really cool images.
I printed out my image on white cardstock. Then I colored it with copic markers. I used a clear glaze pen on the windows to make them look like glass. Its hard to tell that in the photo. I cut it out with my nestiblilites and layered it with SU Melon Mambo cardstock. I used the sentiment from one of SU's hostess sets called  Afterthoughts and punched it out with the curly label su punch. Then I inked around the edges with Melon Mambo. These papers are the Quite Contary papers from My Minds Eye. I added the ribbon and little rhinestone flowers. It is on a white card base.
I used a sketch challenge from Sketch Saturday. It is their sketch challenge for this week.
This is what the sketch looks like.
So go check out both these blogs and see what everyone else is doing.
Also InStyle Stamps is going to have rubber images too. So if you dont like digital you can purchase the stamps in rubber really soon.

English Rose!

English Rose
I fell in love with these papers at Craft Warehouse. I think the papers are so beautiful that I had to show as much as possible. The top half of the card is one piece and the lower half is part of another piece that looks like lots of different strips of fabric. These papers are from KaiserCraft and called of course English Rose Collection. I just cant seem to get enough of these pink rose vintage papers. Although I did restrain myself when I saw another collection. Actually, that second collection was at Craft Warehouse and this selection I picked up at a scrapbook store in Salem. They had changed their location since last time I was there so Tami and I decided to stop by. This paper matches perfectly with stampin ups Blushing Bride and Very Vanilla cardstock. I love the saying on I used on this card. It is from All Holidays from stampin up. I have only used it once before but thought it appropriate for the card. I used a nestiblity to cut it out on Very Vanilla cs and then inked the edges with blushing bride. I finished off the card with stampin ups pretty in pink satin ribbon.

Cherry Tilda Again!

I know this card is alot like the blue cherry/blueberry tilda but I really wanted to use these papers. These are digital papers from Nitwit Collections. I really liked these cherry papers and the cherries at the upper right corner and the buttons I made along the bottom are from them also. I purchased one of the kits that includes all kinds of embellishments for digital scrapbooking and the papers. I wasnt sure how it all worked so I just tried one to see what all came with it. If you are a digital scrapbooker you really get a lot for the little you pay for it. I also used the new Seam Binding from the Stampin Up mini catalogue. It comes it about 6 colors. I used cherry cobbler and pear pizazz. The white paper I ran thru a sizzix embossing folder. I layer this with cherry cobbler cardstock on a white card base. The "buttons" at the bottom have the page pebbles from Memory Makers. The little pink cherries on the side of tilda are just the last I had purchased from Ellen Hutson.
I colored tilda with copic markers and added glitter pens to her red shoes and green dots on her dress and scarf. I also added a clear glaze pen to the cherries in her lap. I was originally going to make her dress red and green and then realized that wouldnt work because the cherries wouldnt show up. So then I decided on the white dress with green polka dots.

Secret Tilda Mini!

Secret Tilda
I played with my new stampin up toys today. For this card I used the Secret Tilda Magnolia Mini. I used the Framed Tuliip Embossing Folder, Springtime Vintage buttons (pear pizzaz, rose red and night of navy), also the pear pizzaz seam binding ribbon.  The buttons are actually a lot bigger than they appear in the mini catalogue. These are the smallest of the buttons. I also used a Sizzix embossing folder. I love these little cluster of dots. Cant tell you the actual name of it tho. I colored my image with copic markers and added a little bit of glitter pen.I used oval nestibilities on tilda and pear pizzaz for the scalloped oval.

Keeping it Really Simple!

I have never made a card this simple before but I was just playing around with the new Stampin Up items I recieved from the new Mini catalogue again. I love the Framed Tulip Embossing Folder. I think it is very elegant and totally frames your work very nicely. I also really love this flower set Baby Blossoms. So I made so thank you cards I was needing. I made 10 of them in three different colors. I started out with only one rose on the front and couldnt leave it alone and ended up with two. For the pinks I used Pixie Pink, Rose Red and Real Red. Old Olive for all the stems. The yellows are Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry and More Mustard. The blues I just went with two blues Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy. I know I have said this quite a few times BUT, I am so glad they brought back Baja Breeze. I just love it. I also really like Marina Mist. I think I have been ordering every ribbon in that color.
