Coffee & Donuts

This card was done using a Hero Arts set. I had seen a card I liked using this set at a local store and was trying to imitate it but didnt like how it was turning out. So I threw everything away and started fresh with totally different supplies. I really liked how it turned out. I was asked at stamp club why the coffee cup was pink. I said it had to match the card. Then I said if there was a coffee shop that served coffee in pink cups like this I would probably start drinking coffee.
I pulled out the basic grey papers again. This is from the lemonade collection. (I just love basic grey papers for some reason.) For the cardstock I used (I think) stampin up Pink Passion.
For the flowers I used a martha stewart flower punch with pretty in pink and pink passion. I used a great impression stamp on the lighter flower to give it a little more dimension and added the pink rhinestone. Of course I had to use my nestibilities for some nice shape. The donut was stamped on creamy caramel cardstock and then the frosting was colored with a dark brown copic marker and diamond glazed and glittered with the chunky sugar glitter. I thought the doilie gave it a more girly look. Everything was stamped with PTI Dark Chocolate Ink.
I am off to attempt to do calligraphy homework today after finishing my togo kits for stamp club.
We have to have a rough draft of our book done next week in class with thumbnails and right now my mind is a completely blank. ( I know, what else is new!!)

Love This Punch!

I just love this border punch from Martha Stewart. I think it really adds a nice touch to the card or whatever project you are working on. This is another card for stamp club. When I am making cards I have to really concentrate on not using pinks all the time. I just love pink. But I know not everybodys favorite color is pink.
This stamp is a from a set I bought online somewhere really cheap. It has several different flowers and lots of sayings. It is from Inque Boutique called Mini Bouquet. I think I paid maybe $3 for the set and am using it for the 1st time. The sentiment is from the mini catalogue from stamping up and the papers are basic black and bashful blue. I added some su grosgrain ribbon also.

Roses Are Growing!

Here is a card I made with an new stamp I got on the last shopping trip I went on with some friends. I thought since I was just out doing yardwork and the roses were starting to grow already I would use this rose stamp. It is a Peddlers Pack stamp from the Karen Meder collection. I colored it with copic markers and added a little glitter. I used my nestibilites and stamping up punch. Also some basic grey ds paper. The paper in the background is Beatrice from the PERHAPS collection and the pink paper in the front is Petticoat from the Urban Prairie collection. I also used stampin up pretty in pink and very vanilla cardstock. I used some misc ribbon and buttons on it.
Next weekend it is time for my two stamp clubs so I may use this card for that. I have one friday afternoon and saturday morning. My teacher at class yesterday surprised us by saying we dont have any class next friday. I was very excited as this gives me more time to get ready for stamp club. I am not ready at all plus will have to clean house on that day.

AVATAR!!

Have you guys seen Avatar yet? I went to see it with a good friend last night. All I can say is IT WAS AMAZING! We went to the 3D IMAX. It was soooo cool! Even as long as it has been out it was still packed on a Wednesday night. We ran across some really nice people there too which made it an even nicer experience. The movie is soo colorful! I just love bright colors.

Sorry no cards. I have been so busy. My homework takes up my whole sunday and with family and other stuff I have hardly had time to stamp. I did use my Kitchen Sink Rose set on my homework tho. It turned out really pretty. I hope my calligraphy teacher likes it. I would take a picture but it is pretty big and I am not good at taking pictures of bigger things. Even my card pictures are not as good as I like. Maybe I will take a photograhy class next. Although this class thing is really pooping me out. I think I will wait until next fall to take another class.

I am working on cards for my two stamp clubs next weekend this weekend so I may have some cards to show. I am going to try out that Black Magic technique and see how that goes and some other fun stuff.

I ordered from the new Papertrey Ink sets on sunday night. They came on about 9 pm and I was on the computer at about 9:30 ordering. I was so glad I did because they said they ran out of stuff really quick. But my order wont come until next tuesday so I wont get to play with it for a few weeks. But oh well, at least I can look at it right??

I have been so tired lately I took today off work. But I need to clean house and do yardwork. (Maybe take a nap after Kati goes to work).

Cupcakes Anyone!

This is a card I made with my sister about a year ago. She asked me for a picture cuz she wanted to make some more. Since I have been too busy to stamp much lately I decided to post it. This was one of the first Lockhart stamps I ever ordered from Ellen Hutson after I got hooked on cupcakes from reading TayloredExpressions blog all the time.
My calligraphy class is going really good. Every weekend I spend about 6 hours on sunday working on my homework project for the next week. I cant believe 6 out 10 classes are done already. I am really enjoying socializing with the others in class also. I will miss them.
For this card I dont remember who the designer paper is from. The cardstock is stampin ups regal rose and we colored it with stampin up markers. I think we made this card before I even got started with copic markers. The ribbon is stampin up also regal rose and we added some dew drops.

Birthday Kitty!

I kindof cased this kitty from a birthday invite I found. I changed it a bit. He just looks so happy and pleased that he has a present. This little kitty is from Penny Black.
I am working on my calligraphy project today so I probably wont have any more postings until next weekend. I have to work on stamp club projects and am sure I will have more homework then. It is also my weekend to work. So it will be busy, busy, busy.

Finally Another Card!

I made this card from a card I saw at a scrapbook store I went to last week. I had a great day with friends shopping and a delish lunch at McGraths. I changed this card some. The original was square so I made it regular size and changed it up a bit.
On this card I used a Marvy vase punch I have had for years and never used. Also I used Pocket Silhouettes by stampin up I have also had for awhile and never used. I loved this paper I found at the scrapbook store also. It is from SEI. I ran out of the paper and had to use a substitute for the vase. So I stamped it with one of the great impressions stamps out this month with PTI Dark Chocolate ink on Pretty In Pink stampin up card stock. The flowers are stampin in the dark chocolate ink and also su Pink Pirouette. I finally found the Martha Stewart punch I have been wanting and punched the pink along the bottom. The cardstock is stampin ups chocolate chip and pretty in pink.
I have been very busy with my calligraphy class and have a big project for homework this week. Last weekend after the shopping I did homework and put together the leftovers from my stamp club cards.
I also have a few togo kits to put together today for an order I recieved.
