Stamp Club Project!

Isnt this little Tilda adorable? I just love her.
I am going to this new stamp club once a month and they give you supplies and everyone has to make something with it and bring it back the next month. So last month they gave us this little white piece of chip board like thing. Thats it. I am assuming it is like an ATC card. It is 21/2 by 3 1/2 inches. So this is what I did with it. I think this little Tilda is from the fairy tale collection maybe. Its one of the last ones I ordered online so it must be.
So I colored her with copic markers and then used my nesties. I put some flowers around the edge and leaves I punched out with my martha stewart punch. Then I put liquid pearls around the outside edge and stickles on the inside edge. I think she turned out pretty cute.

Card for a Friend!

I made this card a few weeks ago for a friend. Now that I have given it to her I can post it. I made a matching gift box with a candle and some chocolates in it. I thought I had taken a picture of it also but not sure where it went. Since the candle was a strawberry candle I decided to go with a strawberry themed card and box. I pulled out my papertrey ink set and some strawberry papers and came up with this. I think she really liked how it turned out.

Man Card!

The Girls at stamp club asked me to come up with a man card this month so this is what I came up with. It is the motorcycle out of the stampin up summer mini catalogue. I had this harley davidson paper and used just basic black and white and added a little ribbon. I also used stampin up punches and the sincere salutation stampin up set.

3 Challenges, One Card!

I just love how this card turned out even if I do say so myself. I managed to get 3 challenges into one card also. That really helped with a really busy weekend. For the card I used discontinued stampin up cardstock Vintage Violet. The designer paper was some out of Nanas Nursery Baby Boy paperstack by DCWV. ( I cant believe how much purple their is in the Baby Boy stack). I overlayed the purple polka dot with some CTHM flowered vellum. The butterflies and leaf are stampin up dies. Then the fence is a martha stewart punch. I also used nestibilites for the layered VV and white. I ran the white thru the cuttlebug with the swiss dots embossing folder.
I used some misc flowers I had with some purple brads. I colored the image with my copic markers.
Now for the challenges. The first challenge is from Magnolia Down Under- embossing, any kind.
So I used dry embossing with the embossing folder. Then Just Magnolias - In The Garden, bugs, butterflys, flowers. Fussy and Fancy Fridays - wings, monochromatic, mostly all purples but I did throw in some green for the leaves.
I hope you all enjoy this card as much as I do.
Happy Stamping and thanks for looking!

Kiki and OCLDT18

Heres little Kiki but hes's

not feeling his best. He was sick all weekend and I had to take him into the vet today because Kati had school until 7 pm tonight. He has an upper respiratory infection and as you can see a little infection in his eye. Poor little baby. But other than that isnt he adorable?

Also here is my card for the card challenge this week over at Our Craft Lounge. I just got this set last week with the butterflys. I really like the butterflys. But the sketch not so much. I am really not into cards this size. I am going to be using this card for stamp club this weekend but think I will trim it down to regular size.

You know, as much as I try I can not get my pictures and words the way I want on this thing. But oh well. For the card I colored it with copic markers and added some glitter. The sentiment was supposed to be a circle also but I changed that a little. I used stampin cardstock Apricot Appeal and Pretty in Pink and some pretty in pink grosgrain ribbon I was given from cod wholesale. The designer paper is from me and my big ideas.

Fathers Day Card!

Hello Everyone!
Here is the fathers day card I made for my hubby. You know how he likes his motorcycle so I thought this would be perfect. This is a set fromTotally Stampalicious. I found so stampin up designer papers with the skull and crossbones and had this ribbon for Michaels from a few years ago. I think he really liked it. I stamped it on some watercolor paper and colored it with stampin up markers and my watercolor brush. Tomorrow I may have some pictures up for adorable baby kitty we watched this weekend. Poor little thing has a cold now. He has been sick the whole time Kati has had him. I think he goes back to the Vet tomorrow for the third time in a week and a half.
My new stamp room is all done also. It needs a few changes but I have to a few more things like another 12 x 12 paper holder from Michaels and a couple more shelf cubbies. And a couple lamps. Then I am also get some of those accordian room dividers so its not so visible from the rest of the house.

Busy Week!

I havent had time for stamping lately so no cards to post. I didnt get to participate in any of last weeks challenges either. Our daughter decided at the last minute last week to move out so it was a busy weekend. We got her all moved. She also got a new kitty right before she moved who got sick and had to be taken to the emergency room saturday night. So the kitty is better and Kati is all settled into her new apartment. It is her 1st place by herself so she was a little nervous.
Now that she is gone I decided to take over the family room that she was using as her room for my stamp room. So I started moving my things on sunday afternoon. That has been a chore but fun. It makes you go thru things so I will be getting rid of some things. Also I have found a few things I had been missing.
Now we get to put all our exercise equipment back in one room so the hubby is working on that.
What a crazy time it has been. But the good news is I get all next weekend to stamp and have the house to myself. My hubby will be gone both saturday and sunday, and Kati has air force drill weekend so she wont be coming over plus I get to spend friday stamping with a friend, so I will get to get caught up on lots of things.
Also since Kati has her drill weekend we get to babysit her kitten. That will be fun. He is so cute. Very cuddly but also very needy. I told her he is perfect for her because they are alot alike.
Have a good week and happy stamping!

OCLDT16

Here is my sketch challenge for Our Craft Lounge. They draw a winner at the end of each month from all the entries. If you use one of their stamp sets you are eligible. I only have two sets tho. Last time I used a stamped image of a friends (thanks, Joyce) when we were stamping awhile back. So I guess that means I will have to order another one from them. Lucky for me I just got a togo kit order in the mail today. Maybe I will use that money for the one OCL set I have been wanting.
For this card I used their Fueled by Caffeine set. It has some great sayings if you have any coffee drinking friends.
I love the yellow and blue together. I had the su retired Ivy stamp still out from the earlier card I had made so for the background I stamped it in Brilliant Blue on So saffron cardstock. Then I used the blue and yellow gingham. The blue gingham I got at a craft day my sister had at her work. Everyone brought things they wanted to get rid of and just took what they wanted. Of course both my sister and I wanted the blue gingham but there was a whole pack so I think we each got 9 12 x 12 sheets. So we got quite a bit. The yellow is still from The Girls Paperie papers. I got them from two peas in a bucket. I sure love those papers.
Speaking of those papers, I was going to make up a bunch of the cards I did for the taylored expressions sketch challenge earlier this weekend and was out of the paper I had used. So I substituted if with these papers also and it turned out really neat. I will take pictures and post them later this week. I even liked them better than the original.
Anyways, back to the card. I stamped the coffee pot and cup with Mementos Tuxedo Black and them colored them with copic markers and then put diamond glaze over them to make them look like ceramic. I ran them and the so saffron layer thru the cuttlebug with my rectangle nesties. The little saying at the top was with the rectangle nesties also with one of the sentiments from same set and layered with brilliant blue cardstock.
I had to add a ribbon to the card. Not part of the sketch but you cant go wrong adding ribbon right? My sister used to always say (probably still does) it needs ribbon.

My Little Soldier Girl!

Here is our adorable little soldier girl back from her weekend drill. Since got out of full time Navy last July and is now in the Air National Guard. She joined to help complete her schooling and next step of her career. We are so proud of her. I think she looks just great in her uniform.

Two Challenges Again!

Edited: I have added the picture I actually took with my camera and not my cell phone. I think it looks much better!

First off I need to apologize. My card is a tiny bit blurry. My daughter had to borrow my laptop this weekend because she is off to guard duty for the Air National Guards this weekend and needed it. It is the only computer I can load my pictures on at this time. So I took this picture on my phone and emailed it to myself.

Anyways, I found a new challenge to participate in. Its called Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge. You can find them at fussyandfancychallenge.blogspot.com. I included a picture of their sketch above mine. As you can see I had to change mine up alittle. I had to put the top layer along the edges. Mine wouldnt fit on top. Also for my three mine things are connected. It is a teapot, creamer and sugar bowl. The flowers I put on them hide that a little I think. They are diecuts from a cricut. My good friend Joyce (hi Joyce!) came over and cut me out a bunch a few weeks ago. I have been thinking of ways to use them. I stamped them with a really old discontinued Ivy background stampin up stamp in regal rose. Then I ran it thru the cuttlebug with the swiss dot embossing folder. My favorite!!! It seemed a little plain still so then I sprayed it with my new favorite Memoires Mists Iridescent. Then I put the card together. It still seemed to all blend together so I applied pink liquid pearls to define them. For the rest of the card, I used a martha stewart bubbles punch and the teatime sentiment is on a tag I used with a nestibilities.

I sponged the edges of it and the card with regal rose ink. I also had to move the ribbon to a different spot. It just didnt fit at the bottom either.

I hope the girls over at Fussy and Fancy Fridays dont mind too much that I changed it.

The second challenge is for the Magnolia Down Under Challenge. This week is polk dots. So I used the black paper that is dotted with flowers and the swiss dot embossing folder and the bubbles all fit with polka dots. You can find them on my side bar. Just click on it and it will get you there.

I have the house to myself at last half of today. I am excited. It is so quite right now. Except every once in a while the kats tell me they want it but I say you have to wait. They dont like that much. But one of our kitties has a little problem every once in awhile and I dont want to deal with that this morning. And since its raining (AGAIN!) I cant put them outside. It sure was nice to have a sunny day yesterday.

Well, Happy Stamping!

Two Challenges!

I made this card for two different challenges for this week. One is for Taylored Expressions TESC116 and the other is for the magnolia down under challenge. The magnolia challenge was to just use a magnolia stamp and flowers. Very easy challenge right! They have some cool cards on their website it is at www.magnoliadownunderchallenges.blogspot.com.

I used rose red stampin up cardstock designer papers from My Minds Eye. I also used my cool mini roses that I sprayed with the Iridescent Memories Mist. I love this mist. It just adds a special look to the flowers I think. I dont think you can see it really good in this picture but in real life it looks great! I also sprayed it on the rose red flower shape behind the magnolia to tone it down a little. I got out my airbrush kit and sprayed some blue around the cream circle behind tilda also. I hadnt played with my airbrush kit in so long I forgot how to put it together. But luckily the color copic marker I used I had overfilled last weekend so it was really wet. For Tilda, I colored her alot like last weeks Tilda only a little darker pinks. Then I put some of the shimmer white smooch on her again and some glitter while it was still wet. I added some red stickles to her crown and around the rose red scalloped circle. Actually, I think the nesties I used with the rose red is considered a flower. I got these shapes awhile ago to make flowers so this was a 1st for it also.

For the sentiment, I used Stem Sayings from stampin up (which is going to retire next month) and cut it out by hand. I thought it went nice on this card.
Well, off to other things for today!
