Upsey Daisy!

I made this little name plate for a gal at work. She has adopted several girls. You know how you send money and you get a picture of the kids every once in awhile. They live in under priviledge countries and need help. That is what she does. So she has asked me to make these in the past. She just wants something with their on it that will fit in a envelope with a card. They are not allowed to get packages because I guess it singles them out from the other kids that havent been adopted. I love the way the flowers turned out with these colors.
I used the Upsey Daisy set from stampin up with stampin up papers and markers. I used the markers right on the stamp and then huffed on it before stamping. First and second generation stamping. I used almost amethyst, lovely lilac and elegant eggplant markers and cardstock. It is stamped on glossy cardstock and then layered and put in a cellophane envelope.
Dont ask about the name. I have no idea how it is pronounced.

Another Punch Card!

I made this card with mostly all punches also. Just the scalloped circle punch from stampin up and the new border punch also from stampin up. The background stamp is from stampin up and I dont remember who the sentiment is from.
The cardstock and ink is Close to My Heart. I really like these two color together. It is twilight and petal. They were the new colors a year or two or three ago. I just opened the ink pads this week.

Purseonality

I've seen this purse done with punches quite a few times and decided to try it out. I used all stampin up punches and a great impressions stamp. It takes a bit of time for all the punching but I think it turned out really cute. Even if I do say so myself. It kind of reminds me of a easter card with the pastel colors. I am sure you could make this into an easter basket instead of a purse. The flowered paper is basic grey urban prairie and the polka paper is from bo-bunny. Then I used stampin up regal rose and just some white cardstock for the base. The ribbon is some more I bought from cod wholesale.

TESC105

This is Taylors sketch challenge for this week. You can find her at http://www.tayloredexpressios.blogspot.com/. I used the ladybug magnolia and colored her with copic markers. The designer paper is from stampin up. Last falls mini catalogue. The flowers and brads are misc ones I have had laying around. I used a martha stewart punch on the border.
I was trying to find my magnolia with the tulips since it is a good one for spring but found this one first. I think it is the 1st time I have used it. The ladybug is a magnolia stamp also and the sentiment is a great impressions stamp.
I am on our main computer again. It is up and running. My hubby hasnt loaded the things we were able to back up yet, but thats ok. I just appreciate all the hours he put into it. I am sure he saved us at least several hundred dollars. Thank you wonderful hubby!!!

Finally A Card

So I finally figured how to upload a picture with this computer. Took me awhile but I didnt even have to ask for help. That is good. People are willing to help but you have to wait until they are available and get the secretly laughing at you so the more I can do on the computer without asking, the more I like it.
This card is made with rich razzleberry stampin up cardstock and ribbon. I used punched out the flowers and triple layered them. The leaves are a martha stewart punch and the flower is a paper shaper punch. The little flower is a martha stewart punch also. I used a stampin up set for the sentiment. I think its called all occasions or something like that.I put some stickles on the flowers for a little more zing. I also ran the white cardstock thru the cuttlebug with a new flower embossing folder I bought at Craft Warehouse. The sentiment was run thru the cuttlebug with my nesties.

Cards Coming!

Well, my hubby spent 6 hours yesterday and at least 2 today on our computer. He has the hard drive fixed and is working on reloading all our programs. I was going to show a card today but I am having a hard time doing it on my laptop. So I have to wait for the gang to come home to help me.
On that note I have the house to myself for the afternoon. I am very excited. I am working on projects for stamp club coming up next week. I have two done so far. I am concentrating on punches and making your own flowers.
Keep checking back and hopefully this evening I will be finally showing a card. Keep your fingers crossed!

Busy Weekend!

Well, sorry still no cards to post. Our main computer crashed last week so I have been using my laptop. Its not nearly as easy as the main computer. I lost all my pictures and my saved sample cards I was saving for inspiration. But my hubby managed to save our checkbook so that was a blessing.
We had a good weekend. Not so pretty at the cost and we didnt do alot today but that was ok. My weekends have been so busy lately it was kindof nice not to do much. I didnt even feel like stamping. I have to get busy and get ready for stamp clubs tho. They are the weekend after next. So that means getting busy next weekend.
I hope you all had a great weekend.

Pocket Silhouette Again!

I have had this set for years and never used it and now I have used it twice in about a month. It is a fun set to use. I also use my glue pad for the 1st time. I have had it for about a month. You can see the glitter very well but I stamped a third flower along with the others and it glittered them. It really adds alot to the card in real life. The butterfly is stamped over the top with the glue pad and glittered also. My ds paper is basic grey of course from the sultry line. I really like the colors. Pink of course! I used stampin up pink passion cardstock and PTI raspberry ribbon.
The flowers and butterfly are stampin up certainly celery and pink passion inks. It is on a white card base.
Today we spent half our day in the yard again. The third sunday in a row. Its great having nice weather to do it in. We barkdusted today so hopefully the front yard is done except for trimming the roses and mowing. I even got my roses fertilized with insecticide also so I beat the aphids this year. That is quite an accomplishment for me. Now we just have to start the backyard. It has lots of weeds.
Next weekend I work on saturday and sunday we are going to the beach. It will be our 24th anniversary on the 15th. I have to spend friday making a special anniversary present for my hubby. I have a really good idea for him and I hope it turns out the way it is in my head. I think he will really like it. But shhh! its a surprise.
Back to work tomorrow. Have a great week1

College Dropout!

Well, I think I am going to be a college dropout on my 1st college course. Most of our grade for my calligraphy class is based on a book we have to make. Anyone that knows me very well stamping wise knows I hate!!!! to make books. I took this class because I really wanted to learn calligraphy but we are doing some much else on our projects I dont have time to practise my lettering. So I turn in projects that have to be so perfectly centered or flush left or flush right or both, blah blah blah and it takes me all day sunday to do and half day friday for class I dont have time for anything else. So the last three classes are all on making this book. So I have decided not to go back. Now I can practise my letters, do housework and yard work and just stamp whatever. Also my two stamp clubs take a bit of time also.
So I have decided since I will have my fridays back I can dedicate more time to cleaning. (sounds crazy, huh!).
But I am really glad I took the class because now I know what I am doing. I have lots of equipment and I can get books to teach myself other alphabets if I want.
