Card for Donkey Smiles!

Isnt this little donkey adorable? I just love it. He was made in honor at Michelle at donkeysmiles.blogspot.com. She raises donkeys and had an accident and lost an eye so this image was made in honor of her. You can check it out at Stampavie. Tina Wenke who is one of their great designers designed this. You can purchase the digital image and the proceeds go to Michelle or use the image and send Michelle a card. I just think he is so adorable.
Thanks for looking!

2nd Post Today!

So I was trying to make this card this afternoon and Keke decided he just wanted to sit and watch me. I dont know what was so fascinating. Maybe he wants to learn to stamp. Then he decides to just lay down and take a nap right there where I am working. How can anyone work with this little adorable ball of fur right there. Of course he wants to nap since he kept me up half the night.
For my card, this is a digital image by Kenny K downloads. They have some really cute stuff and now that I know how to print them out I really love the digital images. See something you like??? Buy, print and use it all in like 5 minutes. How great is that???
So this little gal with the ice cream cones is called Trouble maker. Isnt she great? This paper I got the other day at Hi School Pharmacy in Silverton. My good friend Joyce took me there. Boy for a pharmacy they had a great selection. I got quite a few things. The designer paper on this card is from Bobunny, their Jazmyne collection. I love the colors in it. I combined it with stampin ups certainly celery, mauve mist and elegant eggplant. I love these colors together. The sentiment is from My Favortie Things Heres the Scoop. I really like how this card turned out. Now I have to go do the insides.
See Ya!!!

Life as a Cat and Lighthouse Card!

It must be the best life to be a cat! Here is my grandkitty Keke and our kitty Sam! While Keke is visiting Sam likes to stay outside alot. He loves our chairs with the cushions. What a great life!
My card is the third card for last weeks stamp club. They like to have one man card each month so I think this qualifys. The lighthouse is from Great Impressions and the sentiment is hero arts. I saw this layout on a tutorial put out by Gina from Gina K Designs. I used stampin ups cheesecloth for the background and the leaf stamp is from great impressions also. I added the shells for a little dimension.
The inks and cardstock are stampin up. It is blue bayou ink and marine mist and forest forest cardstock.

New Card and Some Pictures!

Yesterday Kati and I had lunch with our friend Joan. We went to the Lavender Tea House in town. Its a really cool place to go. Their scones and clotted cream and lemon curds are to die for!
For my card, I found this cool picture of grandma and grandpa. Well, its not a picture, its a digital image. I am trying to work with the digital images. The cool part is you get them right away. The bad part is if you dont know alot about computers (like me!!!!) its hard to do. I have to have my daughter come over and help me everytime I want to print any out.
But this one comes from Karensdoodles. She has rubber images also. I just thought this was soooo cute.
I used some paper out of my huge!! stash. I think it is from Wild Asparagus. I combined it with stampin ups new Pear Pizazz (I love that name) and Bermuda Bay cardstock, added a little of the new stampin up lace and a brad and spacer. I also used stampin ups Loads of Thoughts for the sentiment and circle and scallop circle punches.
I hope you enjoy this card!

Pansys!

I love how this pansys card turned out. I dug out some CTMH background papers and the pansys paper. The pansy stamp is from Serendipity and the sentiment is from Paper Inspiration. I used the stampin up top note die and the martha stewart pansy punch. I havent done the inside yet but I think I may use the matching pansy corner punch for it. I colored the pansys with copic markers and then made my own glimmer mist and used it on the top note piece. I then inked it around the edges with so saffron ink. I used elegant eggplant and barely banana cardstock. The pansys are stamped on the top note piece which I used shimmery white cs for and then stamped again and double stacked in some places. I wanted this to be really sparkly so I used stickles on the pansys and even on the edge of the ribbon. My glimmer mist worked out pretty good. You just had to play around with it to get it the way you want it. This card is for this months stamp club so each of the gals will also get a bottle of homegrown glimmer mist.

Card In Memory of Kitten Little!

We had to have our sweet little kitty put to sleep yesterday. It was a very hard decision to make but he just kept getting sicker and skinnier. So I made this card for him. I know I did it all in pink and tried to make Henry into Henrietta but I dont think Kitten Little would have minded. This is sniffling Henry from Whiff of Joy. I was thinking that it was just for get well soon cards but then I realized that when you are sniffling it could be for other things as well. Like being sad. So I gave Henry a pink scarf and some eyelashes because I wanted him to be a her. Not sure if I pulled it off but thats ok. I used my nestibilities and some misc papers I had. Then found some flowers for it. I liked the saying I picked it is from a stampin up set called Stem Sayings. It says exactly what I am feeling right now and probably always will. A friend sent me a really cute poem about animal heaven and how they stay there just until they see their owners come thru the pearly gates and then they go join them. I thought it was very sweet even tho it did make me cry more. Hopefully, our sweet kitty is not in anymore pain.

Addition to Previous Post!

So I found my problem with my previous post and why it took three trys to post it. So I am adding the photo showing the inside of the card because I really like how it turned out.
I had someone at work the other day who bought some of my cards tell me that she had a suggestion. But it really wasnt a suggestion it was a complaint. She said there isnt room inside my cards to write. But you know what. I think the inside should be pretty too and if you want to write a letter with a card then just Write a Letter, right? Just write it on a piece of paper and stick it in with the card.
Anyway, enough of my grumbling. Here is the inside of the previous card I posted. The sentiment is one I have had for a loooong time from CTMH.

Blog Problems and A Card

I am having blog problems and dont know enough about this type of thing to fix it so forgive my postings if they are worse than normal. I am just not a good computer person.
This card started as a challenge and didnt work out so it is just a card I have created without a challenge.
I used this adorable little girl from Belles and Whistles. She is out watering her garden. I have also added a flower garden so she is watering more than one flower.
I used Melon Mamba and Marina Mist from stampin up for cardstock to match this pretty pink paper with white daisies I have had for some time.
I added some misc flowers and used my nestibilities. I colored the image with copic markers.

3 Challenges in 1 Again!

I started this card for Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #120 but the decided to also make it for Just Magnolias Recipe 3Flowers, 2 Papers and a ribbon. So I hope Taylor doesnt mind that her sketch might have gotten a tiny bit lost in the card. You can still see it ther if you look. Oh, the third blog challenge is Flutterby Wednesday. You just have to have a fairy or angel or something with wings. So for the deets: Stamps Sweet Tilda, Su Butterfly prints. Flowered paper is by Melissa Francis and the polka dot paper is from and 8 x 8 paper pack from Marcella K I think I might have picked it up at Target. I used one of Stampin ups new colors Marina Mist and Pink Pirouette they brought back (Yeah! my absolute favorite!). The ribbon is also new from stampin up Marina Mist. I used some blue flowers I picked up at a local stamp storeand of course rectangle nesties.
I hope you all had a great weekend! One more week of work and I have 10 whole days off!!!!!

2nd Chocolate Card Challenge!

So I recieved a couple of comments from the design team about my 1st chocolate card. Too much color. Sorry girls! I just cant help myself when it comes to color. So for all brown and cream I couldnt use one of my other tildas because I just didnt feel right not giving them color. So I used this little pirate tilda. I think she is really cute. I used the new stampin up brown. I love how rich this is and the new Kraft color which is called Crumb Cake I think. Then I remembered I had this stampin up retired designer paper that is all brown and cream. I tried to pick one that would work with the pirate and thought this looked kind of like medallions. I used the good luck sentiment from the stampin up sincere salutations set since it looks like this little gal has a treasure map in her hand. Then I added the new lace ribbon from stampin up and some flowers.
I like the way she turned out even if she doesnt have much color.
This is for the chocolate challenge over at the Totally Tilda Blog challenge.

TESC#119

Hello Everyone! This is my sketch challenge for Taylored Expressions. It is also going to be my invites for stamp club this month. I found these cute stamps at Michaels a few weeks ago and since they were on sale had to get them. You know when you see things enough you start to like them. Thats how I am feeling about Owls. That is also how I originally felt about magnolias.
This was a fun simple card to make, although I am making twelve of them so I will be working on them for a little bit.
I used my new cardstock from Papertrey Ink. It is called Hawaiin Shores I think. It is such a pretty bluish green color. I am also using ribbon from there too. I threw in some of my other favorite PTI color Raspberry Fizz.
I hope you enjoy this card.

New Blog Challenge!

I found a new Tilda Blog to look at with a challenge each week,(I think). It is at www.totallytilda.blogspot.com. This week is a chocolate challenge. You have to have browns and creams and a tilda. I had just gotten these two new sentiment stamps and this tilda so I decided to combine them. I really liked how the card turned out. The big roses were pink and didnt totally match so I sprayed them with some new glimmer mist called Whipped Cream. Then I inked the edges with a copic marker to match the card. After the card was complete I added stickles. The nestibility I used I had just gotten recently also.
I hope you enjoy this card.
