Angel Day 2 !

Here is my second Angel for the week. I think she is my favorite because I love the designer paper. I cant remember which scrapbook store I got it at and it doesnt have a name on it anywhere but I sure would like to get more of it.

I used flower soft on her flowers because I just got it and wanted to play with it and also because I didnt like the way I colored them. I also thought her dress was too plain and so I added pink polka dots. I colored her with copic markers.

My cupcakes turned out yummy for work today but I didnt make green frosting because I remembered I bought pink strawberry frosting for them and lots of sprinkles.

I got my first candle package today so I am off to open it.

Thursday my next package is coming with all the yummy scents.

Angel Week

I was asked to make some sample cards for a store in Minnesota, with some angel images. She sent me the stamped images and some sayings. I just had to have a saying and Angel on the front of each card. This is the 1st angel of the week. Looks like she is taking a pot of tulips to someone and it syas angel prayers sen to you today. I think it would be a very good card for someone that is sick or has had some downfalls. I love all the angels little barefeet and curly hair.

Keep looking this week. There will be a new angel everday until friday.

I am off to make cupcakes for a potluck at work tomorrow. I think I will make green frosting since it is St. Patricks Day and then we can all have green tongues. How fun is that?

Oh, and I am so excited I get my candle making kit tomorrow and both of my bella orders have been shipped so I will definately get to play with the Ketto girls on my vacation. Who could ask for better friends to play with then

that?

Last Great Impression!

Today is my hubby and my 23rd anniversary. I told him yesterday I have been married to him
for half my life. It seems like a long time when you just think about the # of years but then when

actually go back in time thinking about it, it doesnt seem as long. I remember when I was young and would hear about people being married this long and being amazed thinking "wow thats forever". But now that doesnt seem like forever.

Anyways, here is my last great impression card for this week. Unlike the other three, I practically copied the whole card off there website so I cant take any credit for this card but the ladies at the store where I am going to teach this class specifically pointed to this card and asked how to make it. So thats why I totally copied it from the board to show them.

Great Impressions #3

I've had this stamp since it last year I think and finally used it. I like the way it turned out. It
reminds me of a picnic. Maybe I should have just added some ants too then it would have been
perfect for a picnic.
It is another card for the great impression class I am going next friday.
I have one more to show tomorrow and that will be it. Tomorrow I have to work on a card for a friend in Minnesota. She sent stamped angels I need to make into a card for a store there and work on a hollyberry house card for a class next month.
I am still anxiously waiting for my ketto girls from stamping bella. I guess everyone else loves them too. They are so busy it is taking more than a week to process orders. Then it will
take another week to get them. My 1st order shipped yesterday so I hope to get it at the beginning of my vacation so I can stamp Ketto girls like crazy and make candles and use all my other cool new stuff I have gotten in the last few weeks. I am ready to go. But I have one week of work left.
Oh, well, have to make money to support my hobby.

My Family!

Here is my family! Arent they cute? This was

taken when Kati was home on leave a year ago.

I was trying to find a picture of my stamp room that would look good for the top of my blog and ran across this picture. I made it as my wallpaper on my computer also.

It makes me wish she was here so I could give her a big squeeze.

She is going to re enlist and be stationed in London for two years. She will be leaving in November. But the good news is she should be able to come home for about 3 weeks in October. That will be the longest leave she has had.

It will be great to have her home but sad to be so far from home. It will be a great opportunity for her tho and her dad and I are so proud of her!!!!!

Spring Flowers!

I found these little milk pitcher vases at Michaels. I added the ribbon and put rhinestones around it. There are butterfly rhinestones around the middle and diamond shaped rhinestones all around the bottom. I filled it with the tiny daffodils and put two of them on my dining room table. Now we have a touch of spring in our dining room. I need to pick some regular size daffodils also and put them in vases around the house. They are so bright and cheery. I love when the flowers start blooming.

Another Great Impressions Card

Here's another Great Impressions Card I did for a great impression class I am doing next week. I used the top note stampin up die and some yummy ds paper. I'm not sure I like how the ribbon goes around the middle and I did another card just like it only with the ds paper on the back instead of the background stamp. I am not sure which I liked the best.

I will have two other Great Impression cards coming up this week also.

I also took a candle class on sunday and it was great. Even tho I could hardly smell the yummy smell with my stuffy nose.

So even tho my stamping hobby keeps me busy and I have always said I dont need another hobby I am going to be making candles as soon as I get my starter kit. I got my password last night and got to go online and check out all the scents. I can hardly wait? Yum!!

Great Impressions!

I made this card with a great impression stamp and sentiment for a great impression class I am going next week.

I love how the colors all came together. I think it is very soothing and the colors remind me of a spa. I used copic markers an some glitter on the bathtub and bubbles.

Taylored Expressions Birthday Bash!

Hello Everyone!
I am sure enjoying my cupcakes today. My hubby loves them too. I started my love of cupcakes by following www.tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com. I love her blog. She has great ideas and I love her cupcake challenges. She has really helped my cupcake addiction. Now I have tons of cupcake stamps and made some yummy cupcakes. I used my daughters frosting recipe and it is so good. For my cupcakes, I used a betty crocker french vanilla cake mix and added 1/2 a bag of chocolate chips I had left over. I have enclosed the recipe below.
Also, go to taylors website. It is her second birthday for her blog and she is giving away goodies. Check out her online store also. She is the best.

INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)> 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese > 1 cup white sugar > 1/8 teaspoon salt > 1 teaspoon vanilla extract > 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream.

DIRECTIONS> In a small bowl beat whipping cream until stiff peaks form; set aside. > In a large bowl combine cream cheese, sugar, salt and vanilla. Beat> until smooth, then fold in whipped cream.

Here are my cupcakes for stampclub tomorrow!

My pictures never look as good as the other blogs I watch but oh well! I am still getting used to this blog thing so pictures will have to wait.

I showed my hubby a picture of cupcakes on the front of the March editon of Womans Day. He said "good luck with that". Then I showed him my finished cupcakes and he said "Wow you did better than I thought". How is that for support? But he sure was begging me for them long before they were done. I had to hide them in my closet in my stamp room last night so they would still be there this morning.

Now they better be there for my cupcake stamp club tomorrow. They really look better in person than the picture but oh well. You get the idea!

Cupcake Week Day Four!

Heres my last cupcake card for this week! I am not totally happy with it. Too much white. I tried adding flowers but didnt like that either. My rectangle nesties are too wide and my long rectangle nesties are too skinny. Whats a girl to do?

I used some foil cupcake paper and some cool new ribbon I got. The stamps are Impression Obsession Birthday Martini and a sentiment from a hero arts cupcake set.

I also used Papertrey inks raspberry fizz cardstock and stampin up pretty in pink. Colored everything with copic markers.

Cupcake Week Day 3

Here is my cupcake card for today. I used Verve's cupcake affair set. I love these cupcakes. They are so elegant. I used SU cardstock Blue Bayou and Pretty in Pink. Also BoBunny Alissa Look At Me designer Paper. And of course su punches and retired su pink corrugated ribbon.

I think I am off to bed. My cold is worse. I rummaged around for a thermomater and couldnt find one. Finally my hubby found it. I waited with it poking me in the mouth and not being able to breathe with my mouth close and then right when I was supposed to check it the battery died.

Day 2 Of Cupcake Week!

Here is my cupcake card for day 2 this week!

I used Whats Up Cupcake from My Favorite Things. DS Papers from Basic Grey, the bittersweet line. Dark Chocolate cardstock from papertrey ink and pretty in pink from stampin up. The I used copic markers to color it and dark chocolate in from PTI and dew drops for the cherries on top. Stampin Up punches and some cool new ribbon from May Arts I got at a local stamp store. I love the ribbon. It is half pink and half brown and goes perfect with these papers.

A nasty cold is going around at work and I thought I was just going to skate by with a few sniffles but thanks to a little help with someones strong perfume today it is turning into a sinus infection. So I hope the rest of the week goes pretty quickly.

Day 1 Of Cupcake Week

Here is the 1st cupcake card for stamp club on saturday. I used a stamp from a hero arts cupcake set and a karen lockhart sentiment.

Nestibilites for the rectangle. I als used papertrey ink polka dotted paper and cs. Copic markers for coloring and SU ribbon.

My friend Alice and I found a cool store to get a good deal on Copic markers. I am really stocking up on them.

Weekends Over!

Well, tomorrow is Monday again. The weekends sure do go fast.
I having stamp club on saturday. It will be an all cupcake day. I am even going to make some
yummies cupcakes for snacks. I found a great recipe that I am going to try. We will see how that goes.
I have 4 cards we will be doing so I will make this cupcake week and show one card each day. Then on friday when I make the real cupcakes I will show a picture of them too and see how they turn out.
