Simply Sent!

This is a card made with supplies from the new mini catty coming out from stampin up starting next month. It is made from a Simply Sent set. You get everything you need except stamps and ink for 8 cards. Even envelopes with liners. The green striped paper you see is the liner to the envelopes. The stamp set I used on this set is called Watercolor Winter. The Noel is cut right into the card.

The Watercolor Winter is also new in the catty and as you can see is a two step set.

Valentines in July!?

I ordered this from Art Impressions and didnt realize it was a valentines stamp. So I cut off the words that went around the edge talking about Lifes a Breeze and Happy Valentines day. Then I made it into a Happy Anniversary card!
I used the sketch from sketch saturday for the layout on this card. Colored it with copic markers and added some rhinestones and they greeting from SU's Teeny Tiny Wishes set.

Easel Card Challenge at AI!

Today at Art Impressions blog challenge it is an easel card. I used the Party Girls set #4131. They just look like they are having a great time. I wanted to add some sparkle to them so their blouses are all glittery. I colored them with copic markers. I added some flowers and ribbon. Also some great glittered drops from Recollections.

Flower of the Week!

For my flower of the week this week are some pansys. I just love their little bright shiny faces. They are so pretty and they have such a soft subtle scent that smells really yummy.
It makes me cheery just looking at these little faces!

Art Impression Monday!

For my card this week, I have used Watercolor series 7 . I used stamp pads for this card but there are lots of times that you would use markers to color the stamps. But since I didnt need to use to colors on any one stamp I just used the pads. I used a new die from Impression Obsession for the fence and my favorite floral oval die behind the image. You cant see the arbor very well. I used Mementos London Fog because I didnt want the arbor to be really bold with black and I wanted it to be a white vinyl arbor. But I didnt realize it didnt work out so well until I was done and I didnt want to re do it.
So I am happy with the way it turned out otherwise.

Pink Gem Challenge!

I found a new challenge blog today. It is called Pink Gem . I liked the sketch they had for their challenge and decided to give it a try. I used my fairly new JustRite Stampers set called Botanical Medallions and Banners. They have two sets of Spellbinders dies made exclusively for them just for this set. I have used on of them on this card. (Of course I had to get both of them!)
The papers I used are from Sei called Corinne. Pool Party from SU goes perfect with these papers, some of the orangey colors would go good too. I used a SU sentiment with this card. The flowers are colored with copic markers and a little glitter added. It doesnt sparkle as much as I would have liked it to because I didnt use my regular glitter. I added some rhinestones from Michaels and some orangey corsage ribbon.

One More Lulubell Pic!

I love this picture. See that little bit of black to the left of Lulubell? That is the speaker for my computer. This picture with her little paw over her ear looks like she is telling me "Grammie turn down the music its hurting my ears!".
Kati came and picked her up today. It was nice for her to visit but she is a little disruptive for not being our kitty so it was nice for her to go to. Plus I would hate for her to get use to having playmates and then miss them when she goes home and she is alone again.
She sure is a little spitfire tho. Her idea of playing is to jump on the top of the other cats and just start biting on them.

Lulu Bell Update!

So Kati brought little Lulubell over on the 4th and decided for some reason that she needed a summer break at Grammies house. I think because it was so late when she left after fireworks that she was in a hurry to leave. So while she has been here visiting she wanted to sleep in the same basket she slept in last time.  The thing is tho she was too big. She got a little upset when she realized she wouldnt fit. When she gets upset she starts messing with things. She took a bite out of one of my cards for Art Impressions next week and then sat on the card and it was still sticky from the glue and it stuck to her little rump. She is go cute you cant get upset with her tho.
I thought I would share pictures of her from last may when she was here and today.

Sunday Sketch & Stamp

I found a new place to get dies from. The teapot and teapot border are both from there. These are from The Scrapping Cottage . I love all the tea related dies and purchased quite a few but they have LOTS of other dies also.
I made my card using the sketch from Sunday Sketch & Stamp . I used some papers from Best Creations for this card. You cant see the piece at the bottom very well but I just love it. Its from the easter collection I think but I think it works great for this also. The flowers on the teapot come with this die also. I am still learning how to use these dies. They take quite a bit more work than spellbinders. So far they work best in my Grand Caliber. Some I have gotten to work well at all yet. I have found even in the GC I have to use a shim or two.

Metal Accents At AI!

Today at Art Impressions Blog Challenge , the challenge is metal accents. So I have some metal like screen behind the chicken and the little squares under him with dew drops on them are metal also. I just happened to find these two packets of  metal tags and things when I was organizing my stamp area last week. I pulled out the birdie and egg carton stamp but cut off the egg carton and put some straw under him for his nest to sit on.
I used the sketch fromsketch saturday . I had this chicken paper already also.

Splashes of Pink!

Here are my flowers of the week. These are some of the pink flowers in our yard. The roses in the front and the geraniums in the back. The bottom photo is where some of our new dirt went in this year. Hubby isnt done filling the yard with new dirt but where its done all in the center island makes the flowers seem so much bright against the dark brown dirt.
I love this time of year when all the flowers start to bloom. Although this year they have all been a tad late.

Thinking of You!

I made this little guy into a thinking of you card. He looks a little under the weather doesnt he?
I used the sketch from friday sketch challenge . I used some papers from the new Nitwits collections. There is a link to them on my sidebar. I love the soft delicate blues in these papers and I am not really even a blue fan. But with the soft flowers and stripes I thought it would go perfect with this little guys jammies.
You can find the stamps I used at Art Impressions . They are sick bear and thinking of you .
I colored him with copic markers stamped a little random stamp around the edges of the image.
I added some flowers that werent on the sketch and the ribbon. The cardstock and ribbon are stampin ups Marina Mist.

Gift Card Holders for AI!

Today at Art Impressions blog we were to make gift card holders. I decided to use the Tea Time set.
I colored them with copic markers. I wanted some white dots on the tablecloth and used my white liguid applique and then got carried away and started doing white dots everywhere but they seem to only show up very well in the picture on the pink dress.
I used the sketch from sweet sketch wednesday for my layout. I used two different papers for this. The flowered paper is from Memory Box and the other is from the Vanilla Sky collection from SEI.
I didnt have any gift cards so I just put my Red Robin card in there.

Reason to Smile!

This card is made with some of the new stampin up products. The stamp set for the flowers is called Reason To Smile. If you purchase $50 in products in July you get this set for $5. Pretty good deal! I have also you the new paper piercing tools called Essentials Paper Piercing mat. It comes in lots of different patterns to match the dies and there is another set coming out in the new mini catty in August.

I used some retired ds papers with Midnight Muse cardstock (new in-colors). I added some ribbon and then the sentiment is a retired stamp on one of the new banner dies. There are some little baby pearls in the corners also.
