Meet Stella! My Stamping Buddy!

Stella!
My Sis and I were stamping together the other day and we went to our favorite place for lunch. On the way home we were stopped at a light and I just happened to notice something pink!
Well, everyone knows I love pink!!! There is a thrift shop right there on the corner of the intersection we were stopped at and there was a bunch of donations in the parking lot that two gentlemen were taking care of. I saw this great pink dress form. I loved in and went in to see how much it would cost. It was just a few $$ more than I hoped but still not bad (in my opinion) so I got it. They had another one that was black with hot pink rhinestones on the shoulder. The sales gal tried to sell it to me also but I decided I better not!
My hubby thought I was so silly to get it and "add something to clutter my room"!
But my sister told him, I wanted someone to talk to that wasnt going to talk back and always agree with me! Or something like that!
So I decided to name her Stella and yes, once in awhile I do talk to her. But who cares!
Its usually just Stella, me and the cats!!
I had this apron just hanging on my shelf rack and I thought it went perfect on Stella! I was going to attach cards all over her but I thought this was much better!
Plus it hides her one flaw!
I cant tell you what the flaw is! That would hurt Stella's feelings!!

Friday Sketch Challenge #96

For my card today, I used Summer Silhouette for the first time. It took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to do but finally I got started and like the way the flowers turned out.
I used Summer Silhouette and Perfect Pairs for the stamps, Very Vanilla, Old Olive and Calypso Coral for the cardstock, Pacific Point, Old Olive and Basic Black for the inks, Pretty Petals DSP and a couple of circle punches.
I love this paper pack. It has so many different designs and even tho they are only 6 x 6 they come in 4 sheets of each pattern and are double sided.
I used the sketch from Friday Sketch Challenge for my card layout.
I also added a strip of Watermelon Wonder lace ribbon. It goes perfectly with the Calypso Coral papers dont you think?

Remember there is also a sketch going on here on my blog! Please join us before the 24th!

Also if you place a stampin up order from my online store of $50 or more you can still get the free set of Sprinkles of Life stamp set. If you do purchase the Sprinkles of Life stamp set dont forget $3 of that set will be donated to the Ronald McDonald house!!!

Fry Boxes!

Aren't these little fry boxes adorable?? They were fun to make. I did learn one little trick making them. If you are using designer papers to make them, DON'T run them thru your die cutting machine twice. ONCE is plenty. I ran them thru twice because I usually always run things thru once and then back. But these are so sharp. The score line cut all the way thru. So then I had to line the insides with cardstock. This one in the lower picture I did first and did not run thru twice and it worked so it is a double sided fry box. Most of them I did run thru twice so I lined them with Strawberry Slush cardstock. I didnt want Rose Red it was too dark and I didnt want Melon Mambo, it was too bright.
But Strawberry Slush was jussst right!
I used the English Gardens DS Papers. They are my favorites out of the new catty!
If you would like to order any of these products or any other products, please go to my online store.
I would love to have you order from me!
Remember this month any orders of $50 will get the Sprinkles of LIfe card set!

Sketch and Stamp #108

I decided to make a project with one of my beautiful butterflies after all today. I also wanted to play with the new dsp papers from Stampin Up Pretty Petals. It has so many different designs in it. They are all gorgeous and all coordinate so beautifully together.
I used the sketch from Sketch and stamp #108 .
So I used one of my butterflies with Mint Macaron, Tempting Turquoise and Pacific. The paper I picked to use with this project has two of these colors in it also. I only had to use one sheet. I use part  if both sides of this one sheet. I added one of the sentiments from the Watercolor Wings set.
One the vanilla strip across this I embossed it with the Decorative Dots embossing folder and added some Mint Macaron ribbon and bow. Down the body of the butterfly are some rhinestones.

No Card Today!

I decided to go thru my stampin up products today and weed out the discontinued ones.
I only have 25 sets that are current. I have 42 discontinued sets to sell and 12 discontinued sets I just cant bear to get rid of yet!
So I am busy working with my discontinued sets and deciding what to do with them. Probably sell them on ebay.
I might also play with my Watercolor Wings set. I love that set. Especially with the matching dies.

Fun at the Beach!

Yesterday, Kati and I went to the beach. We had a great time. The weather was absolutely beautiful but it was 59 degrees and the wind was a little chilly as you can tell, maybe ,by our picture.
We shopped at the outlet mall, got a few summer outfits, ate at Mo's in Lincoln City, went to Devils Punch Bowl, under the bridge in Newport and then down to Florence.
Lunch at Mo's was wonderful! Shopping was fun, and we saw a few shops in Florence.
We went to see the Sea Lions in Newport. Kati had just been there a few weeks ago and she said there were about 40 and they were all fighting over dock space. Yesterday there were only 8 or 9 and there was a big cage like they had been trying to catch them. (I didnt include a picture of that! Too sad!).
The tide was out when we were at the Devils Punch Bowl so we didnt get to see it in full force. Maybe next time!
We did see one weird thing in Newport I wished we had taken pictures of but I was laughing too hard and couldnt. Some lady had a stuffed toy frog, she posed it on the boardwalk with something not sure what and then took its picture. I thought it was the funniest thing ever and couldnt stop laughing. (I know not nice!) Maybe it was her version of Mr Bill?? Is that what he did?? I cant remember it was way too long ago.
So it was a great day at the beach!!

Same But Different!

Here are the same cards from yesterday or using different papers or ribbon. I never used to be a 6 x6 paper pack fan but you really can get alot out of it. I had to use different papers on three of the cards. Paper piece one of the cards, and use different ribbon on one.
I used up a whole roll of the new in color ribbon already. But I had already done a card swap and used it on 20 cards. So the ribbon goes along way!
Well, off to the beach today!

Day 4 of Sprinkles of Life!

This is the 4th card I have made with Sprinkles Of Life. I have a whole set now.
I love the bow on this card. I used the new in color ribbon in Watermelon Wonder. It makes a gorgeous bow. Again, I have used the Cherry on Top DS paper pack for this card and I have layered it with Daffodil Delight.I punched out the little flowers with the Tree Builder punch in Watermelon Wonder and Daffodil Delight and added a rhinestone in each one. The flower by the sentiment is punched out of the ds papers with the flower from the Itty Bitty Accents punch trio from the same ds paper and I added a rhinestone to it and each corner of the card.
Come back tomorrow and you can see how you could recieve all four of these cards for FREE!

Sprinkles of Life 3 / Sunday Sketch!

Doesnt this look like a yummy ice cream cone!? I am using the Sprinkles of Life set again today. There are so many ways you can use this set (besides helping out the Ronald McDonald House!).
I used the sketch from Sweet Sketch Sunday for the layout. My color combo is Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush and Early Espresso. My dsp is from Cherry on Top Paper Stack.  I also used the Banner Triple punch. This punch is great because you can punch three sizes of banners perfectly everytime and even tho the punch has three sizes, I have used smaller paper in it also to get an additional size.
I stamped the ice cream in matching inks with early espresso and Watermelon Wonder and then punched them out and glittered them with Dazzling Diamonds glitter. The ice cream is stamped right on the paper with Tip Top Taupe. I stamped some sprinkles around the paper in all three colors.
I love the ds paper on this card. It has ice cream cones and cupcakes and cherries. Very fun.

Sprinkles of Life Day 2

Here is another card with the Stampin Up Sprinkles of Life set! This is the Ronald McDonald house set for this catalogue. For all sets purchased Stampin Up donates $3 to the RMH. I think that is a great thing they are doing!
I used the sketch from sketch saturday for my layout today. I used the papers again from the Cherry on Top DS paper pack. I love these papers with this stamp set. I have used all the new in colors again.
My layer of cs is Tip Top Taupe on white. I have stamped the tree leaves on Cucumber Crush cardstock with CC ink pad. I have punched my flowers and the tree out with the Build a Tree punch. The greeting is also from Sprinkles of Life and it is punched out with the word window punch and layered on Cucumber Crush with the new Washi tape punch. The flowers are punched out in Watermelon Wonder and Delightful Dijon. I then added some rhinestones to the flowers and the upper and lower corners of my card.
I also punched out a little bird and added some wings and eye to him with a black sharpie. He is punched out of the Tip Top Taupe.

Sprinkles of Life!/SB107

This is the new Sprinkles of Life set. It is the Stampin Up Ronald McDonald set this year and for every set sold Stampin Up donates  $3 to the Ronald McDonald House.
This is a very fun and versatile set. You can make cupcakes, ice cream cones, trees, clouds, rain and many more things. It also has a matching punch called the Tree Builder punch. I used it to punch out the frosting on the cupcake. It has lots of great sentiments also.
For my card I used the Cherry On Top DS paper pack, Bermuda Bay and the new in color Watermelon Wonder. I also added some of the bermuda bay seguins for some sparkle. My nice lacey ribbon in the new in color ribbon which is also Watermelon Wonder.
I am participating in the sketch challenge at SB Sketch and Stamp using sketch #107.
