Edit: This is my 2nd posting today! So scroll down for my masculine card!

Masculine Birthday!

Here is a masculine card I made. I found it in one of my Stampin Success magazines and changed it just a bit. Also I was trying to enhance my picture to make it better. So the top picture is the original and the lower one I was playing around with. Which one do you like best??
I used Wetlands and Work of Art with Lost Lagoon(stamped off once) and daffodil delight ink pads. My papers are white and Lost Lagoon. The greetings is also from Wetlands. I added a little bit of Linen Thread around the side of the card!

Woodgrain Background!

Here is another card I did with this waxed paper technique. I love how the woodgrain turned out on it.
Hopefully you dont look too close at the waterspot in the middle of it. The other two spots and the ones in the lower right corner are the white accent dots from Stampin Up. I love them.
This background was brayered with Crumb Cake ink. I used the Wild About Flowers stamp set. That is such a fun set to work with. I love how the flowers are two steps so you dont have to color the stamps with markers.
Remember today is the last day to get the July specials! They are listed on the sidebar.

Brayering!

Here is some more of the technique I was working on last weekend. I meant to do this earlier this week but I have been having the stampers version of tennis elbow so I have been off the computer and stamping for a few days. I stamped all day sunday and hardly slept sunday night because of it.
Sucks to be getting old doesnt it!!!
So I thought I saved the video on pinterest for this technique but couldnt find it. Have any of you ever watched any videos on U-tube from Frenchie Stamps? I think thats her name. She has great videos and that is where I found this.
You run a piece of wax paper and run it thru your favorite machine and emboss it with whatever embossing folder you want to use. It should be an embossing folder that the whole folder emboss's.
Not one that is maybe only a frame or a corner design. Then you sandwich it between two pieces of glossy cardstock and with the glossy sides facing in and put it between a sandwich of tinfoil and iron it. You will get two different designs because it will be the positive and negative images of your embossing folder. Then you brayer whatever color ink you want over the top and then rub it with a paper towel or cloth to get the ink off the wax. Its just doing a resist technique but its really fun.
I used the Decorative Dots and Woodgrain Embossing folders.
I used the Decorative Dots because I was hoping for a bubbly effect for water. I wanted to make a couple of masculine cards.

I used Marina Mist ink for the dots and the woodgrain I used Tip Top Taupe and Crumb Cake. I liked the Crumb Cake the best. But I think it makes for a great masculine background.

My Stamp Room!

My stamping table! Room for two. More if I bring in another table!
This is also where I keep alot of things I need in the little bins!

This is another view of my table. You can see in the right corner where my buddy sits. This is Sam! He keeps me company. He has a nice little pink blanket to sit on that matches my room!

I have my Ikea drawers to the left of me with cutters, papers, glitters, embossing stuff, catalogues, and my cutting machines.
My cutting plates are in the top drawer. Even my computer is pink and matches my room!
My little drawer unit on the right is from home depot. It has scissors, acrylic blocks, all kinds of stuff you always need!

This is my cube unit from Ikea on top of my chester drawer until also from Ikea.
This holds most of my stamps. I have a few wood stamps left but most of them now are photopolymer. I love the
photopolymer stamps. It also holds ribbons, embellishments, embossing folders. All kinds of stuff.
You can see Stella to the right of it and my glass shelving unit. It holds some knick knacks.

This picture again shows my cubes and drawers but also you can see the cd hold on the left and barely the one on the right. These hold alot of unmounted stamps, dies and a few knickknacks To the right of that I have two of the 6 drawer Ikea units stack on top of each other. These hold all of my cardstock and some other goodies. My inks are
on top in two stampin ink holders.
My stamp room was all clean for about an hour!!! So I decided to take some pictures. I had bought a new lamp and brought in some flowers so thought it was a perfect time for pictures.
I had two ott lamps on the table which I didnt like. So I got rid of them. My new lamp has a bulb that will shine on the table and one that goes up so that was good. And it matched my other lamp so that was good also. For some reason I seem to require more light than other people. I have a light in the kitchen on behind me alot too. But part of that is because it also has a fan that I have on alot during this hot weather.
I love my little room. Especially in the summer. I try to put some colorful plants on the patio so I can see them while I am stamping. I have also put a hummingbird feeder out there to try to attract hummingbirds and the colorful flowers should also along with butterflies. I do have a butterfly bush right around the corner too.

Sweet Sketch Sunday #278

This card is for last weeks sketch on Sweet Sketch Sunday . Their sketches dont close, just the challenge does. So I am going to go ahead and post this to their sketch.
I found a new background technique that I love. Its very nice and easy to do. I hate when I love a technique and its very complicated, time consuming and messy. This one is none of those things.
I have used Marina Mist and glossy white cardstock. Marina Mist, Mossy Meadow and back stazon inks. I have added a martha stewart doily and used the Decorative Dots embossing folder and Lots of Labels framelits. The stamp sets are Wild about Flowers and Sassy Salutations.
I will show more on the background technique later!

Work Of Art in Pink!

I made some pink cards with the Work of Art  stamp  set. I used Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo and Rose Red inks. I have layered it with Pink Pirouette cardstock. The greeting is also from Work of Art.
I used kind of a little technique I found online. You stamp the colors first and then the stamps over them. Then you can fill in empty spots with smaller stamps.
I also used Flower Shoppe, and Butterfly Basics Stamp sets.

Work of Art!

I was playing around with the Work of Art stamp set this week. Its fun to work with.
For this card I used Work Of Art, Lovely Amazing You and Wild about Flowers. I really like the Wild About Flowers set also and will be doing more with it!
My greeting got a little bit lost in the chevron stripes but I think you can still read it pretty good.
The colors are all the new in colors. I used Watermelon wonder, Delightful Dijon, and Tip Top Taupe. The ribbon is actually Calypso Coral but I love this ribbin and I think it tones down the Watermelon Wonder just a little bit.
I layered this card with Tip Top Taupe and Whisper White cardstock!

Tags For You!

I have a friend that asked me to make a few tags for her, I had some left over Stampendous flowers left from my pop up cards and had made one for her on a gift.
So I made a few.
I used the lawn fawn stitched rectangle dies. (Not sure of the official name). I used some various sentiments. One didnt come out as good in the picture as I would have liked but its a new Stampin Up set called Remembering Your Birthday and my favorite sentiment says "Today calls for Something Pink with Sprinkles on Top!" I love that.

Casing "Its a Stamp Thing"

I cased this card from Its A Stamp Thing. If you want some stampin up inspiration you will have to check out her blog. She has some adorable projects.
I had to borrow the You've got This stamp set from my sis. I didnt have the other stamp set from the original card so my flowers are different and so is my hello. But it was a fun card to make.
I colored the flowers with copic markers. The hello is from Hello You Thinlits. I added some silver sequins.
