Art Impressions Weekly Challenge!

This weeks challenge at Art Impressions is seeing spots. I used the Lingerie Shoppe from the Shoppe Windows set. I liked the spots on the little outfit and I also went with the Swiss Dots embossing folder with the dots on it also.
I used the sketch from The Sweet Stop. The image was supposed to be a circle but I changed mine into a square. I didnt think it would fit into a circle but looks like I had lots of room and it really would have. I found some old paper in my stash that I thought looked appropriate for lingerie. Added some fun embellishments and was done.

Bordering On Romance!

I made this card with almost all Stampin up products. The greeting is from Judikins. I bought it at a convention last year and have been wanting to use it evey since. I didnt have a girls night to make a card for so I made it for invites for stamp club instead.
The stamps I used are from bordering on romance. I used some of the matching dies and embossing folders and the flower border matches the dies and borders also.
I stamped the flowers and then watercolored them with a waterbrush and inkpads. Added a little glitter and ribbon and was all done.

Another Flower of the Week!

This is one of our California Lilacs (I think they are called.). You cant see the flowers as well as I would like but they are a really pretty plant. We planted them last year and they didnt do much. But this one got relocated and really took off. It is twice as big as the others we planted at the same time. They grow along the road and are sometimes used as hedges. When you see them from a distance the leaves look really dark because the flowers are such a dark blue. Very pretty!
Have a great day!

Operation Write Home Blog Hop!

Operation Write Home is having a blog hop with a sketch. So since Art Impressions is teaming up with them I am combing my Monday morning Art Impressions card with OWH. I have used Little Whoot on my card today and have made it Patriotic in honor of Memorial Day and our Heroes. Since I have a little hereo of my own it makes this day even more special. I have decided to also make it a thank you for the heroes by using one of the sentiments from the Beanie Whoot set. I already had this patriotic paper. I followed along with the sketch but it wasnt until after I was all done of course that I noticed whoever made the sketch was nice enough to add the dimensions for all the layers. But oh well mine is just a little bigger.
Happy Stamping!
Thank you to all our Heroes!

Magnolias Dragon

Its time for another year of calenders (I think I mentioned that already) but anyway this is my calender for October and a card to match. This cute little dragon is from Magnolia and so is the dragonfly die. I had to put dragonflies on it to match the dragon right? Bulls have bullflies and dragons have dragonflies. Anyway, I colored the image with copic markers. I cut out the dragonfly dies with white cardstock and then colored them witht the same colors as the dragon. I added glitter to the dragon and his flies. Since it is for October I went with a spiderweb border from Martha Stewart. I am sure there are lots of spiders and cobwebs in the cave where he lives. I used some ds papers. The top one looks like it has eyes in the design and the bottom one is from a SeaShell line and reminds me of the sea. I dont know if this is a seadragon or not. Then I used Spellbinder oval dies and ran them thru the cuttlebug with a bubble like embossing folder in case he is a sea dragon.
On the card it looked a little empty where the calender went so I added a sentiment with some stampin up punches. I think this guy looks a little sad so I went with a thinking of you sentiment. That way if I want to give it to someone I could put a lot of diffent senitments on the inside.
I have entered my card/calender in the challenge at Creative Inspiration anything goes.

Ready for Fishing!

This card is definately for the fisherman. I have used 4 different Peddlers Pack stamps. On the inside the card says Happy Fathers Day! The ds paper I have used you cant see very well but it has some fish and fishing lures on it. I started out with a 5 X 7 card and then realized I could trim it down to a regular size card. I have colored it with copic markers and a few glitter gel pens.

Art Impressions Monday!

Here is a bright and cheery birthday card. Comes with a birthday cake and everything. I have used Large Birthday Cake and also the Happy Birthday, both from Art Impressions. Added some rhinestones and flowers. I used the sketch from The Sweet Stop for the layout of the card. They also had a twist to use ruffled ribbon. So I used Calypso Coral cardstock and ruffled ribbon from stampin up and some misc 6 x 6 paper I had purchased somewhere that matched.

This is FlipFlop Tilda. Isnt she cute??? I just love her. I made her into a calender for August also. Alice and I are working on our next years calenders again. Magnolias only. Our year runs from June to May so I have two months done so far. I used the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday for the card. Also at
Magnolia Down Under the challenge for this week is make your own embellishments. I made the flower on this card with three different punches and the matching ds papers. Over at Magnolia Stamp Lovers the challenge is square cards. I used lots of dew drops on this card and some incolor brads from stampin up. The papers are the newest incolors Summer Starfruit and Primrose Petals. They both go perfect with the ds papers I pulled out of my stash that I have had forever.

Daffodils!

Here is another card using Heartfelft Creations. I used Daffy Daffodils Precut stamp set and the matching Heartfelt Creations Spellbinders die to cut the flowers. I colored the daffodils with copic markers and then cut them out with the die. Then I layered it on white and yellow cut from a oval spellbinders. Its hard to see in the picture but the yellow oval has gone thru the cuttlebug with th swiss dots embossing folder. My border alond the bottom is a new Martha Stewart border punch I ordered online recently.
I added some rhinestones and ribbon. It makes for a very bright cheery card.

This card was made using the Exotic Fuschia set from Heartfelt Creations. I also used my new floral oval die from Spellbinders. I colored the image with copic markers and glittered it. Added my new ribbon to it. I couldnt stop adding things. First I had to add the corners I punched out with a marvy punch, then I had to add the rhinestones.

Art Impressions Challenge!

This weeks challenge at Art Impressions is to make a circle card. My card is just  a tiny little thing. I used the biggest circle nestie I had. I used my Beanie Whoot Set. It has the owl and several sentiments. I used the googlie eyes again and you cant really tell in the picture but the whole owl is on a spring. I found it at stamp club at Peddlers Pack last week. Its called a wobble and you attach it to both the card and the image and it wiggles on the card. Its very cool. I was wishing for something like that when I made my last Beanie card and didnt have anything and then there it was. How cool is that?

More Purses!

Here are some more purses I made for Kati. I fell in love with this peacock paper at Michaels. The gold zebra I really like also. The peacock paper is from Recollections and the gold paper is from Anna Griffin I think.
I like the different way I am doing the handles on the purse and it stays on better this way.

Flower of the Week!

I have decided to make tuesday my flower of the week day. My flowers are starting to pop out one by one and on a sunny day they are beautiful. This is my Bleeding Heart. It used to be in a big pot in the corner of the patio. But as pots do, it got brittle and broke. So a year or so ago my hubby planted it in the ground. Now I have at least 5 of them. I love this flower but it only lasts until it gets hot and then it wilts away. But as you can see there is a baby fern to the left of it that will get bigger and in the center of it, there is some flower that I dont know what it is but it will be a surprise.
We have purchased a few new things and I dont know where they got planted or remember what they are so we will see. We planted some Mexican Shellflower bulbs. I have never heard of them but they are very colorful. So I cant wait to  see what they do!
Happy Planting!
