New Stampin Up Mini!

I just wanted to say I am really loving the new Stampin up mini catalogue coming out for January. I have ordered out of it twice already. I am in love with what they  call the vintage collection. Although it is not my idea of vintage. I would call it more Victorian. Maybe some people think they are the same thing but I definitely think they are different. I just love them.
Cant wait to play some more. January will be a busy month. I have just received an order for 75-100 baby shower invites and 4 monogrammed gift cards.
Plus I will have some exciting news to share on friday!

Another Pink Card!

So, christmas is officially over. Last week I kept seeing new images and wanting to make more christmas cards but then I started the pink ones yesterday and now I dont want to make anymore christmas cards.
I look at other blogs for inspiration and think how glad I will be when they have new cards on them.
This little bunny is so cute. I think it is Stampavie. I pulled him out weeks ago to stamp and didnt get around to it until yesterday. So he was out of his package but I am pretty sure I got him at Memories of Time in Coos Bay when I was there so that would make him a Stampavie stamp.
I stamped him on watercolor paper and then colored him with distressed inks. I am really starting to like coloring that way but it has to be the right kind of stamp. Nothing small with lots of details.
Then I put the pink stardream paper thru the cuttlebug with this folder I have been wanting to use for awhile and layered it on a white card base. I added the dew drops and ribbon. I wanted to add flowers but my daughter said No Mom thats enough. She didnt even like the dew drops or bow but I put them on anyway.

Pink Magnolia!

I think this is the 1st time this cute little magnolia has ever been inked. I made this card for 4 different challenges. I was hoping that the flower paper in the back would show more but only a little of it shows. It is some digital paper I purchased and printed out. I think it is really pretty with the pink roses. I stamped this Tilda on watercolor paper and colored her with a watercolor brush and Tim Holtz distressed inks. I did one other card with them today and am really liking how they turn out. I used glitter on her wings and some pink smooches on her dress. I think there was a little too much pink (I cant believe I just said that) so I added the green dew drops.
For the first challenge it was to make and easel card and can be found here at Totally Tilda Blog challenge.
The 2nd challenge was for Flutter By Wednesdays and has to have wings. You can find them here.
Next is Just Magnolias. You have to use their sketch. They are here.
The last challenge is Magnolia Down under. It is supposed to be A Gift For You. But I think this card is a gift all by itself. You can find them here.
I hope you like my card!

My Favorite Card Set!

Add caption

Tea for Two
I had another order from a coworker for a card set. I decided to use the tea for two set from Papertrey Ink. I also used my new goodies from the stampin up mini catty coming out next month. The papers and roses are from the Springtime Vintage Collection. I absolutely loooove this collection. I am going to order more really soon. I added a few dewdrops around the flowers on the box. I made the cards a little simple. No flowers, just a little pink bow. I hope it ever gets this gift likes it as much as I do. I am not a blue fan but the other papers in the set have some pretty blue papers and the roses come in blue also. So as soon as I have a few spare minutes and also another box I am going to make this in blues for a gift for a friend and another pink one for myself.
Well, off to work. I had to get up early to get this little set finished.

Lovely As A Tree!

Lovely As A Tree!
Dont you just love this stampin up set? No matter how long you have had you pull it out every year and use it over and over. How many stamps do you do that with? Me? Not Many.
I made this for our main christmas card this year. I made 30 of them but I should have made twice that many. The sentiment is an old stampin up standby set also. I am missing one stamp from it. I either lost when packing it somewhere or it is with another set and I have never found it. But it is all sentiments and greetings. I used it on all my christmas cards. It has 4 greetings and 4 sentiments I think so it comes it handy. I stamped the tree and then glittered it to give it a snowy look. I have been watching everyone do white on white so I gave it a shot. I think I like it.

Mini Magnolia and Fussy and Fancy Friday Blog Challenge!

Mini Magnolia
So I was checking out one of my favorite blogs Stampin Mindy and saw her simple christmas cards. She does the most beautiful cards. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! She does lots of magnolias. So it gave me an idea on how to use one of my Mini Magnolias. Boy when they came in the mail my first thought was. Wow, thats tiny. So I came up with this card. I think it is my favorite christmas card this year.
I have had to make lots of christmas cards to send out to family friends and coworkers. I didnt have much time so I made them all simple. I have ended up needing about 60 cards. This one I made 15 of.
The papers are the digital ones I mentioned a few posts ago. I love these papers and will definately try digi papers again.
I used a retired stampin up set for the sentiments, one the inside back of card and envelope I have the mini candy cane from Magnolias also. I am going to have to get some more Minis. I love them.
So my card fits the Fussy and Fancy Friday challenge for this week. In fact I have been working on three different christmas cards and they all three fit. This week is SNOW, so I have a little snow on the tree and the ground under tilda. So hop on over to Fussy and Fancy Friday and check out what the other gals have done. It is a great place for inspiration if you need. Although, Mindys blog is a great place also.

New Magnolia and Two Challenges!

This is a new magnolia I just received as a Christmas gift. (I think). Either that or birthday. I got them at the same time and opened them so I cant remember which was which but it came with this cute tilda and some glue and those things you put in it for a seal like tilda is doing. I thought since you do this after writing a letter she looks like she has just made her christmas list and is ready to seal it up for Santa. So thats why I went with the sentiment I did.
I made this for two different challenges and will post them below. I will also post the blog where I got the sketch for this card. The designer papers are digital. My 1st try at digital papers. I am not sure if they are cost effective or not when you consider how much ink they use. But I thought I would give them a try for fun.
I paired the papers with stampin up Real Red and I think the green is Wild Wasabi. I am not sure. I added glaze pen to the wax and some glitter pens to Tildas dress. I also used the stampin up ornament punch because one of the challenges was to use an ornament.
Here are the links to them:

Another Gift Box!

A coworker ordered a gift box for a christmas swap she is doing. She doesnt know who will get the gift so
told me to decide what to use for it. So I was trying to be a little neutral on the colors. I loved this designer paper and I had just made a monogramed gift box just like on Taylored Expressions. So this is what I came up with. The paper is from chatter box Nook Garden Floral called Scrapbook Walls. I have several different ones I picked up from a scrapbook store on sale. Its really thin and looks like wallpaper. I combined it with Stampin UP Pear Pizzaz cardstock and ink. The stamps are Beautiful Kindness from Verve and Summer Afternoon from Taylored Expressions. The punches is Martha Stewart. I glittered the butterfly and added some dew drops and Old Olive Stampin Up ribbon. I made the cards and matching box. The box is on top and the card on the bottom.

Some Odd Girl Challenge!

Elf Kaylee

This is Elf Kaylee. She is a digi stamp from Some Odd Girl! You can find her at their website. They are having a blog challenge today. Go take a look at Some Odd Girl! They have some really cute stamps. I believe you can get them in rubber also. Their challenge for today is to use flowered paper and have a flower on the card. I used this pretty poinsettia paper and also made my own flower with a McGill punch. I watched a tutorial on it a few weeks ago and got a punch yesterday and gave it a try. I added some yellow glitter in the center.

Fisherman Card & Blog Challenge!

Man Card
My hubby asked me at about 6pm tonight if I had a card for his friends birthday who he is having breakfast with tomorrow morning at 8am. I dont make man cards very ofter so I am scrabbling for something. Then I think digital stamps. I love digital stamps. At first I didnt like them and said no way. But how else can you go looking for a stamp without leaving home and pay only a few dollars. So I went looking and found this one. My hubbys friend takes people out fishing on the weekends for some extra cash so we thought this was perfect for him. I found this cute stamp at Stitchy Bears. They have some really cute stamps. The sentiment is from a Stampin Up set called Polar Pals. I had bought that set for another fisherman I know.  I thought the Cuttlebug embossing folder with the bubbles was approriate since fisherman are on the water. I colored him with copic markers and used my glitter pens in a few places, like his glasses, belt buckle and part of his fishing pole. Also I added a few dew drops.
So after I made this card I hopped over to the blog challenge over at Stitchy Bears and saw that their challenge this week is Old Stash New Stash. So I thought this was perfect since my digital stamp from them is new and my set from Stampin Up is really old. So go check them out!!

Poor Henry!

Poor Henry!
I needed a get well soon card for a little boy for a togo kit. So I thought of this Henry stamp from Whiff of Joy. I think he is so cute. I used him before for a missing you card for when we had to have our kitty put down. I think he could be used for lots of things other than not feeling well. I pulled some papers out of my Nana's little boy paper pack.  I have had it for at least 2 years I think. It is a DCWV. I paired it with Baja Breeze ( I am so glad that color came back in this catty) and so saffron from Stampin Up. Also used a couple of stampin up punches and some buttons from Papertrey Ink and Craft Warehouse. Colored him with Copic markers. I think he is really cute and he was quick and easy. One more card for her kit and I am done.
I bought some really cool christmas papers this year I havent used yet. I need to get crackin on more christmas cards and get our own sent out.

2nd Hello Kitty Post!

More Hello Kitty
I forgot about these little hello kitty items. I made them with my cricut. This is what I had originally intended to use for my gift cards and then changed my mind. The biggest Hello Kitty is a card. I did a blank oval with my cuttlebug in the center with white for writing. The littler one is not a card so I put scor-tape on the back so it could just be peeled off and stuck somewhere. The little snowman I did for a sign for my daughter that she was making for a co-worker and the little kitty with a bunny on its head is a card also I just did for fun.
Also on the previous post, I forgot to mention I colored the kitties with my copic markers and glitter pens. Also the litte charms are from Stamp and Create.

Cards Coming!

Sorry Everyone, I have had cards up for awhile. I have almost all of my christmas card orders done. I will finish the rest this weekend. But I also have a Hello Kitty card set I have been working on for a birthday gift. (A belated birthday gift!!), I hope to get that finished this weekend also. I have lots to finish this weekend, so I hope to have some cards posted today or tomorrow.
Have you seen the new Mini Magnolias yet? They are finally out now. I dont know how long they have been out. I found them on accident. But I have ordered two of them. I hope to get them by next weekend and have cards to post with them. I have also ordered out of the new Stampin Up Mini catalogue that comes out next month. I can wait to get the goodies from that. I love the whole line of Victorian looking (in my opinion) stamps and fabrics and papers. Yum Yum!
