A Day at the Beach!

Doesnt this card just make you wish you were lounging at the beach? I used Karen Lockhart stamp and sentiment. The Designer paper is Basic Grey Porcelain line. I didnt want to add to much to th card because the paper reminded me so much of sand. I had different little charm thingys from Michaels so I did a different one on each. Then added the ribbon. The cardstock is stampin up and is cameo coral and white.

Last TeaParty Stamp Club card!

This is the final card for stamp club. My first one was this morning and I just got this set in the mail when I got home last night so I had to hurry to throw this one together. I cased it from Michelle Wooderson. I love her cards. I change the sentiment and the colors. This is all papertrey ink. The color is Hisbicus burst. I did use stampin up designer paper tho. I think I will like this color almost as much as Raspberry Fizz.
I got some yummy new scents for candle making today. One of them is Monkey Farts. I cant wait to see what that smells like. It is a combination of a bunch of fruits. Surprisingly enough tho no bananas.

Tea Party Card #4

Sorry, for some reason this picture turned out a little crooked. This card is another one using Tea Time by Lizzie Anne Designs. I also used several different nestibilities. The white ribbon is some I just got from stampin up. I really like it. I used the swirls cuttlebug embossing folder and colored the images with copic markers.

Teaparty Card #3

Well, its monday. It is a good monday because I have it off. I did lots of yard projects today so my body is pooped.
This is my 3rd card for this coming stamp club. I used Lizzie Anne Designs Tea Time for this.
I layered papertrey ink's raspberry fizz (I love this color!) and then some designer paper. The punches are martha stewart border punch and stampin ups circle punches. I colored it with copic markers and then stamped the little teacup at the bottom with raspberry fizz ink.

Wedding Candles & Card

Here are the candles I did for the wedding. The colors are yellow and black. I also did a matching card to go with the gift. On the candles I put retired stampin up ribbon. I think it was called maize. Then I put some white wedding like flowers on the top of the bows with little glue dots. I stamped their names with an alphabet set from papertrey ink and also framed it with frames with a flourish from stampin up on shrink plastic and tied it on with the stretchy silver stampin up cord.
On the card I used stampin up sweet treats and sincere salutations. Also the maize ribbon again and nestibilities and stampin up punches. I used barely banana and basic black. I used the swirl embossing folder with my cuttlebug for the background.

My Hero!

Everyone is talking about Memorial Day and the heroes we have. I just wanted to show who my hero is. This is my daughter Katherine, she was just promoted to Petty Officer 2nd Class. She is planning on re-enlisting this year and will be heading to London in the fall to work for Nato.
She is my wonderful daughter and we are so proud of her.
Have a great memorial day weekend!

Copic Certification Class!

How could I have forgotten to mention the class??!!
The class was on wednesday the 20th. I had a great time!!!! I met lots of great people and meeting Marianne Walker was the best! She is a hoot! Also the whole crew from Copic markers were there also.
I sat at a table with some great gals. Chatting about stamping with them was almost as much fun as the class. It was very educational also. No matter how long you have been doing something you always learn something new when you get with other people that love the same thing you do.
I learned alot but will need to practise, practise, practise the techniques we learned.

Today, I have been working on projects for stamp club next week. Since it is all tea related and I am having a great time.

Tomorrow I will be making some candles. I got some champagne flutes tonight at target and some slices of fruit scents, I will be making yellow slices of fruit scented candles tomorrow for the wedding gift. I will be posting pictures in a few days. I will lose my camera to my hubby tomorrow so I wont be able to post pictures until sunday or monday. He is going on a motorcycle trip tomorrow and always uses my camera. One of these days I will buy myself a cute litte pink camera to match my pink laptop and he can keep my camera.
Have a great evening and happy stamping!

The flower is one I got from a local stamp store and the sentiment is from memory box.
I hope you all have a great holiday weekend. I am off to stamp!

TECC68 Taylors Sketch Challenge

Here are two cards I did for TECC68. Taylors sketch challenge. You can visit her at http://www.tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com/ to see the other entries. I started with the one on the top but decided I didnt like it very well, so then I turned the card around and liked it much better. Its funny how something that small can make a difference. I used the cherry boots magnolia. Then I used some rhinestone cherries I got from http://www.ellenhuston.com/. I love her website. I also used some of the papers from the nana's nursery collection from DCVW and rose red and certainly celery cardstock from stampin up. The ribbon on the right is from http://www.codwholesale.com/ and the rose red ribbon on the left is some I got with an order from http://www.ellenhutson.com/ with the little free gift she sends with her order. It matches the stampin up rose red perfectly.

Wedding Card #3

Here is the third DCRS wedding card I made. It is obviously a save the date card. You cant tell but I used crystal effects on the glasses to make them look more realistic.
I have some new magnolias I havent used yet and I am hoping to get time to use them tomorrow or saturday. My hubby is going on a motorcycle ride all day saturday so I know I will have time then, I do have to get projects done for my next stamp club but I will have to sneak at least one magnolia in.
Next week is the copic certification class. I am excited and nervous. I dont go to things like that often and wont know anybody but I am sure I will meet some nice people.

Wedding Card #2

Here is my second DCRS wedding card. They look so happy at their wedding.
I used the textile cuttlebug embossing folder on this card also. I think it works so perfect for wedding cards. The oval punch is from stampin up and the scalloped oval punch is nestibilities.
I colored them with copic markers and used the shimmery gold paper from stampin up and glittered her veil. The ribbon is some I got from COD wholesale.

Happy Mothers Day!

This is from a set I got from Pink Poison Co. Now know as The Greeting Farm. Not sure why they changed their name. Both names are pretty unique.
I used my yummy basic grey Wisteria papers again. Stampin up punch and martha stewart punch along with nestibilities. This is also going to serve as an invite to stamp club too.

Blossoms Abound!

I love this wisteria paper from basic grey. It goes great with River rock stampin up cardstock also. Matches perfectly. I used a variety of stamps for this. The little line at the bottom came in a kit I purchased awhile back from www.tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com's online store. I think it is from stampedous. It was a cute little set with a few sentiments. The sentiment on this card is from verve circle sayings and of course the flowers are blossoms abound by Stampin Up.
I also used stampin up ribbon and inks. I glittered the flowers a little. I dont think they show in this picture tho.

Butterflys!

Hello!
This is a card I made using a Great Impressions stamp. It was one of Aprils stamps. I just wanted it to be simple. I used a sentiment from Verve.
Colored it with copic markers and added a little glitter. I found this butterfly paper somewhere recently. I think maybe at the local scrapbook store in Sherwood.

New Magnolia and TECC66

Well, I finally stamped for the 1st time in two weeks. It felt good to stamp again. My new magnolias arrived yesterday all the way from sweden. It took only 13 days to get here from the time I ordered.
I made this card for the challenge on tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com. It is TECC66. I love this little gal. Also I got some new stampin up designer paper yesterday. It is Parisian Breeze. I am not a blueish person but I love baja breeze and not I love this paper. Also I am a stampin up demonstrator but how did I miss the change in designer papers. It is just paper anymore. It is thicker than cardstock and has a rough finish on it kindof like bazzill paper but not quite. I really like it. I also used the build a brads again. I was thinking the other day how basic grey and other companies making brads to match their papers but you only get a few for a large price. Why not make my own. DUH! I am sure everyone has already thought of this.
I used baja breeze stampin up ribbon and I dont know if you can see it in this picture but I also did her boots with crystal effects to make them more like rain boots.
I added a sentiment because I thought it needed one and used stampin ups Oval All set with the stampin up punches. The oval scalloped punch and Oval All set are in the new mini catalogue. I used misc flowers and glittered here and there. I think she turned out pretty cute.
Thanks for looking and happy stamping!

No Stamping Mojo!

Well, I have lost my stamping mojo! I havent stamped for like two weeks. Maybe I over did when I had my weeks vacation. Who knows.
I just ordered 45 sheets of beautiful designer papers. They are all from Basic Grey. Mostly the Wisteria, Lime Rickey and Porcelain lines. The Wisteria has some beautiful purples. I was just thinking the other day that nobody has any good purple papers why is that? Then I saw the Wisteria line and had to have it. I have had a 10% coupon from Emma's Paperie plus her papers were already cheaper so I decided to go crazy. If you havent ordered from her you should give it try. When the package comes you open the box and your order is all gift wrapped and it came with a little package of jelly beans and a small spool of cupcake ribbon. I loved the ribbon and of course want more and I missed Easter so the jelly beans were great too.
I am hoping to be stamping again soon. I have to make more samples for the Door County Rubber stamp store. Wedding cards. So I have a deadline for that so I guess I will have to make myself stamp. Plus the copic marker class is coming up on the 20th. That should get my mojo going again, Right?
