Papertrey Ink Ice Cream!

This was a fun card to make. I think the sequins really topped it off. I used a papertrey ink set and stampin up set. The papers came from a martha stewart paper pack I got on clearance at Fred Meyers one day.

Christmas Deer!

This is a card I cased again from Pinterest. There are quite a few cards using this Deer Trio from Memory Box. I love it. I used a stamp from Gina K designs Winter Cheer set for the trees and sentiment. I added some glitter.
The trees are embossed in white and then sponged with Island Indigo ink.

Apron Cards!

This is a card I cased from Pinterest. You can find the original card I cased here .
I used marianne creatable? dies. Also the little measuring spoons are from Taylored Expressions.
This card was fun to make but very time consuming.
I found some papers I liked but couldnt decide which I wanted to use so I used all of them to make different cards.
I didnt put any senitments on it but you could put whatever you want on the insides.

Strawberries Forever!

This is another explosion/pop up card from the same company as the last one. One this one I did end up adding some yellow stickles in the center of the little white flowers. Also you could put a center on the front lower panel of this for whatever you want.
I had planned on running all the red pieces thru the cuttlebug with the swiss dots embossing folder and forgot until I had already put glue on one of the pieces. That would really have added to this card also.

Cut Files Explosion Card!

I love these pop up boxes. You fold it flat to go in an envelope and then when you pull it out it looks like this. I had made one from scratch and then found a website that sells these cut files. I dont have a machine to cut them on so I went over to my Sis's house who does have one. She has a Silhouette machine (I think) and she cut these out for me and then I put them together.
This one is going to be for my boss for a surprise birthday party we are having for her at our meeting this week. I sent out a circle of white cardstock to everyone in her region and had them sign it. So I am putting One on each flap on the side and under the sides and the rest down the back. I hope she loves it and is very surprised.

So for these boxes you  have to pick out all the papers and then cut them. I ran the plain cardstock flowers with a woodgrain embossing folder just to give it some more dimension an ink them around the edges then added some brads.

The name of the company that these come from SVG Cuts. They have some really cool stuff!

Halloween is So Scary Without you!

This is a card I saw at the local stamp store. It was a class they were teaching there. It is all dies except the sentiment. It was fun to make. Sometimes it seems like dies are easier than stamping. But sometimes they are just as time consuming!!

Explosion Card!

Sorry, my pictures arent the best. Was in a hurry because I had spent time cleaning out our fridge.
I have been wanting to make an explosion, or also called pop up box for along time. So
I tried it out today. I found all the directions and a great video here .
Sandi always has great ideas and gives great tutorials with videos.
I changed the papers from what she used but just about everything else is the same. I had to use a spellbinders oval for the balloons but I think it worked fine.

Tea Card!

This card is from a sweet n sassy set I have. I didnt realize until I was making this card that it has matching dies. So I had to order them after I made this card. The sentiment is from this set also.
I took some fun tea cards and the tea light cakes to a local tea shop. I am waiting to hear back from them and see how they are doing!

This is another card I cased from Pinterest. I know I havent had any original ideas lately, but I do switch the cards around a little bit.

Tea Stacks!

I just love dies. But sometimes they take longer to use to make cards than actual stamping.
The teacup stack and the "steam" die are from Poppystamps. I really like these. The "steam" is not really steam. It is actually a really pretty corner die.
The flowers are punches. I added a few rhinestones.
I cased this card from pinterest. You can find the original card here .

Another Stippled Blossom!

Here is another card I cased from Pinterest! I love these colors together. They are Pool Party and Island Indigo. I added some ribbon, glitter and stones in the center of the flowers. I love this stippled blossom set and this hardwood floor background stamp is becoming one of my favorites also.
All supplies are stampin up except the ribbon and the dies used for the pieces under the flowers.

Another Gina K Designs Cased Card!

This is another card I copied from Gina K Designs. I did change this one a bit. Once you change a few things you just keep going and almost make it your own.
The poppies are from one of their Stately Flowers set. The sentiment is from Stampin Up.
The background plaid papaer is from stampin up and the printed paper is using stampin ups Dictionary background stamp. I have some fabric washi tape under the ribbon and added a bow, some rhinestones and glitter.
This image is colored with copic  markers.

See Thru Card!

I saw this card on Papertrey ink, make it monday or something like that. I am still deciding about it.
You cant really put white or anything on the inside or it will mess up the outside and if you write on the inside it will show thru also.
But the dies and flower stamps are all papertrey ink.

Another Stippled Blossoms Card!

This is another card I cased from Pinterest! Don't you just love Pinterest??? I sure do!
Can you see my pink and white polka dot tea cups in the background?? I love those. I went to Teas Me in Hillsboro with my BFF Joan for her birthday and picked up these teacups for myself.
I have a whole china cabinet full of tea pots and have never used them. I am going to have to have afternoon tea here at home some day! I will just have a little tea party!!
Anyway on to my card. I used the SU Stippled Blossoms set. This set is so much fun and so elegant.
I also used the border embossing folder and die from su. Love those too!! I dont know why I dont use them more often!! They add such a nice border to any card.
I believe I used pink pirouette and melon mambo for the roses. I cut out the roses and used foam tape.
I believe this whole card except the rhinestones is stampin up.
I made this same card only with out the rhinestones and it turned out really nice to but I gave it to Kati for her birthday so I dont have a picture of it to show!

This card was done with Stippled Blossoms and the hardwood floor stamp from SU. I love how the hardwood floor stamp looks. It really adds to the card.
This is another card I cased from Pinterest. It is using Canteloupe Crisp and Crumb Cake. Plus some Early Espresso. The colors together are really pretty!
All the punches used on this card are SU.

Flower Patch Bundle!

This is a card I cased off pinterest. Sorry I dont remember from who. But they even had a great video to go with it.
It is using the SU Flower Patch stamp set and matching dies. It is the first real clear stamp set from SU I have used. I really like it.
I die cut the flowers out first and then stamped them on the die cut pieces. I am finding that I like to do it that way more and more often. Although SU dies are easy to stamp and then punch also.
This card was simple and fun to do!

Have a Purr-fect day!

This is a digital stamp I purchased quite awhile ago. I dont even remember where I got it now. I found a card with it on it on pinterest. I finally used it!!!
These are some more new papers I got when I was at the stamp store in Tigard. I love gingham and flowers. They are my favs and go perfect together. I used Cantaloupe Crisp cardstock which I dont use very often and used it twice last week.
I colored the kitty with copics and fussy cut him. I used some Elizabeth Craft design dies on the leaf and flowers and added a pearl to the center. The sentiment is from a new stamp set I just recieved from Papertrey Ink.

Wedding Pictures!

Well, the wedding has come and gone! Here are a few wedding pictures that Kati sent to my phone.
My sister in law took the official pictures. But we dont have them yet. She took over 1800 photos!
Doesnt she make the most beautiful bride??
Actually, I just got the top picture this morning. That might be one of the official ones that were taken.
They went out after the wedding and took them at other locations.

Yellow Roses!

I pulled this rose stamp out of a set I have had for a long time. I think this card could work for almost anything. Birthday, anniversary, sympathy, thinking of you, thank you. Whatever you want realy.
I colored it with copic markers and inked around the edges. Added some ribbon. I used a new border punch from Martha Stewart across the bottom and used some new papers I had just gotten at the stamp store when I took a class.

Another Wedding Project!

Only two more days until the wedding. The last couple of days I have been working on these place cards and the holders. I looked at several places to find the holders and no one seems to carry them anymore so I decided to make my own. I got a package of round discs at Michaels, a wooden dowel and some clothes pins. Kati had made a really cute board that says Mr & Mrs and painted it with this purple paint and decorated it so I used the same flowers and paint to make these match it.
I even used the purple glitter paint we used on top of the plain purple paint to spray the papers to make them shimmer and add some sparkle. The sparkle doesnt show up alot in this picture but it is there.

What a Life!

Here are our two kitties. This was the other day when it was almost 100 degrees here. They just lay
out in the heat for hours. The bottom picture is in the house. For some reason Keke loves to be under the blankets.
They are like little babies, they look so sweet and innocent when they are sleeping!

Under The Dome!

This is a card I made this last weekend. I took a class at the stamp store in Tigard. Two classes in one month! Thats a record lately.
This are new dies called Susan's Gardens ( I think). The class took 2 1/2 hours. Half of it was making the flower. Part of it was waiting for everyone to catch up before we could go on to the next step.
It was a fun class. The teacher was really nice. She was from London so I got to hear her great accent also. The two white spots are reflections of the light on the dome so they really arent part of the card.
We also recieved a die cut tag, an embossed piece to match the front of the card and a pattern to make a box to fit this card into. I havent made that yet, but this card is more like a gift than just a card.

Flipping Out!

Here are the cards I made out of the sea of flipflops I showed yesterday. I got my inspiration from a card on pinterest . My card doesnt really look much like it. The layout is the same tho, but thats good right. You get your idea from somewhere else and then make it your own?!
I used the Flipping Out stamp set and matching dies from Papertrey Ink. This is the birthday card to go with the gift and then I made 6 matching cards that say "Life is better in flipflops". I have to totally agree with that. Especially the nike ones that I call pillow tops. They are the best.
Anyway, I put the 6 cards in a gift box and wrapped it with a bow.
I hope my birthday friend loves the cards. I think she will.

A Sea of Sandals!

I am making a gift set of cards for a friend for her birthday. We both love flip flops. I bought some stamps and dies from Papertrey ink. I love them! But you know how after a few time thru your die cutting maching for some reason the paper always seems to stick in the die?? Will these dies dont have any little holes in them to poke them out. So my hubby fixed that for me! He drilled little hole in the dies for me. Now I can poke them out!! Yeah!
More to come on these cards!

Wedding Card!

This is the card I made for the wedding shower for Kati. Her and her fiance have a thing about penquins and how they mate for life. So when Elizabeth Craft Designs came out with these dies this month I had to have them.
I used the ECD bench for the pop it card and then the dies for the penquins. I used some purple glitter paper some white and silver chevron striped paper also.
I made a little veil for the bride and put flowers everywhere. The front is alot simpler and just says Best Wishes but was having problems downloading pictures so didnt show it.

Gina K Designs Day 2

Here is another Gina K Design card. I found this on her website also. I love this set and it was a free one that came with my last order. I used the acrylic block again. I loved the stamp she used in her sample and it is actually coming with an order I just placed. but I didnt want to wait.
I used Gina K cardstock that was in my same kit as the other card. I used SU Coastal Cabana ink. I stamped the image and sentiment in black and used a martha stewart border punch.
I sent this card to a friend that is going thru some hard times right now to try to help bring a smile to her face.

Gina K Designs!

I have been watching U-tube videos like crazy lately. I added the app to my mini ipad and can watch them all over the house and even when we sit outside on the deck. Very addicting!!!
This is one that I saw on her do. You do the background color by inking an acrylic block and stamping it on the paper. I realized as I inked it that I was inking the wrong side. You are supposed to ink the smooth side,(her whole block was smooth so thats why I didnt think about it). After I inked it I thought oh well, its already inked so might as well go with it. Then when I inked it and saw the tile look to it I really liked it better anyway. As I watched her video I realized I had the exact stamp set she used, So already having the stamp she used was an added bonus.
I had had a clear box of Gina K Designs products on my desk for literally months and never used them. She has a program called Stamp TV and she uses the products and you buy the kit. This one came with two large stamp sets, lots of ribbon, about 24 sheets of different colored cardstock, a 6 x 6 paper pack and some brads. You dont even have to buy the kit every month like some of the other stamp companies. So I made two cards yesterday from her videos with what I had on my desk. All I had to add was ink and the rhinestones. I could have used the black brads instead of them and really would have been set.

The Wedding Card!

I finally have a picture of the wedding invations we sent out. The card was a bit tie consuming but fun to make. First we had to draw the dress and then the suit was pretty easy except getting the buttons on straight and I found a punch for the bow tie which was fun.
I will be showing the card I made for the wedding gift soon. I looove it!!

Copic Class w/Marianne Walker from Copics

Yesterday I took a class at a local stamp store. It was a copic class taught by Marianne Walker who has worked for the Copic company for almost 14 years.
She taught the copic certifcation class I took years ago. I just love her classes!
We did this cute hula girl and the sunflower scene. Both of the images were created by Marianne.
She is a great artist and used to design for Our Craft Lounge before they went out of business.
It was a fun and interesting class.
She said there was a 5 hour class given from time to time for skin and hair. I would really like to take that class.

2nd Version for Elizabeth Craft Designs!

This is another version of the card I showed the other day. I love the word dies. I have used the thinking of you on this card. The butterflies I used the shadow die and then a sticker piece from the detailed die as a stencil and glittered them. Everything on this card except the designer paper is from Elizabeth Craft Designs. The pink shimmer paper on the front of the card is from her website also. The shimmer paper is really fun. You can emboss it and then either sand the embossed images for a white look or ink it with black ink to make it stand out.
The pink shimmer edges are cut out with the edgers die also.
