Comforting Cocoa!

This was a fun little card I saw last year but by the time I saw it I was done with holiday cards. Although it wouldnt have to be a holiday card. It could almost be a sympathy card or used for many other things.
The stamps are both by Impression Obsession. They have some of the funnest stamps.
I pulled some more christmas paper out from who knows how long ago.
The paper behind the cocoa cup is cut out with a spellbinders die and then ran thru the cuttlebug with my all time favorite embossing folder Swiss Dots. I inked it around the edges and over the dots. I colored the cocoa cup image with copic markers. They didnt blend really good because I used different card stock then normal. Then I cut out the cup and used foam tape to mount it and added glitter. The green dotted strip is the back of the other paper, so I got exactly 12 cards out of two 12x12 pieces of ds paper with no scraps.
I added some cherry cobbler ribbon and layered the ds paper with lucky limeade cs.

Cream and Beige!

This purse turned out very elegant I think! The white flowers on it are velvet so it feels very nice. I still have a few more of this batch of purses to show and guess what! I just got another order for 10 more purses. So maybe I should rename my blog or something right?
Anyway, off to work on some more projects. I just spent over 2 hours cleaning house so I think I will work on fun stuff now.
That is after I find my table!! The one place I havent cleaned yet!

Silver or Gold?

I made this card is two different color combos. Well, same colors but different. This card is right out of the stampin sucess catalog. I am making it for stamp club and didnt have enough glimmer papers to make them all the same so I didnt two different ones. All the products for these cards are stampin up.
I love it when something so simple can look so elegant!

Seasons Greetings!

This little mittens are dies from Taylored Expressions. I love how she has the plain size and then the little bit larger scalloped sizes. I wish more dies were like this. The snowflake die along the bottom is from TE also. I have added lots of rhinestones to this card.
You can find the card that I cased here . Its another card I have cased from Shannon White. She has some really cute cards.l
I pulled out some christmas papers from my stash to use. The only new christmas papers I have purchased this year are a couple from stampin up.

Mini Purses!

These are some little mini purses I learned how to make over the weekend. I think they are so cute. They are the perfect size for a gift card or a piece of jewelry of just something fun you might have to give. Even some cash!
My big sis taught me how to make them over the weekend. She sells Miche bags and was teaching some other Miche bag gals how to make them and invited me also. Some of them were making them to match the Miche bags. Those were cute also.

Banana Poke Cake

I got this recipe from a gal at work. It turned out pretty good. Its really rich. Its a Poke cake. You make a cake and then after it has cooled for just a few minutes you poke holes in the top of the whole cake and on this recipe you pour banana pudding all over the top and it runs into the wholes. I added a layer of mini chocolate chips also. So it has cake, pudding, chocolate chips, whipped cream and then crushed Nilla Wafers. Then you add banana slices on top of that I added some more chocolate chips.

Lets Chat!

These cards were cased off Taylored Expressions . This link will take you right to the sample card done by Shannon White. She does awesome work. I have seen her work on several different cards I really liked. This set uses the Lets Chat stamp set and Dial In Style dies. I used different papers for my cards. I am making a card set for a friends birthday and she loves strawberries so I knew I wanted to use these papers. The card uses both sides of the paper the woodtone paper on the lower half of the card is the back of the strawberry paper. It is Pretty Party from Crate Paper. I found it at the store in Independence last month when we were on our way to the beach. The gingham paper is Quite Contrary. I cant find a whole sheet right now but there are great papers. They have a real wallpaper feel to them.
The phone has to be die cut twice for each one so I made each card with the phone opposite from the other. I also used a martha stewart border punch along the bottom of the card.
Taylored Expressions has the greatest dies and matching stamp sets. The dies are so easy to use also.
If you are one of my stamp club members you will be getting on of these cards in the mail for stamp club invites to, so I am making a bunch of these cards for two purposes.

Bosses Day!

My daughter wanted a card for bosses day. She picked the sentiment for this card and I printed it up on my computer. When she asked for a card I mentioned this image. I never thought she would go for it. I was wanting to purchase it but didnt know what I would do with it. So I found a purpose for it and have it just in case.
This is a digi image from Redonkulous . This particular image is called Cheeky Greeting. Isnt that perfect for it??
I made this card using the sketch from sweet sketch wednesday .

Candy Canes!

I think this little gal is sooo cute. She is from Saturated Canary and is called Candy Canes. If you google her you will be able to find several sites available. On the Saturated Canary site, they have a lot of digi images but this one is available in digi. So you have to buy her from a store. They are made here in the states but I was in such a hurry to get her they were all out of stock so mine came from overseas.
I had made her for a sketch challenge but liked the black hair so I had to order more copic markers and didnt make it in time for the challenge. Since I wanted the black hair, I thought she would look good with some purples, so I pulled out some old christmas papers and went from there.

Another Purse! I like the polka dots on this purse. I know I have lots of purses to show.
But when I pick another one to show and look at the last one posted I think of new things to do for the next batch of purses.

Eat Ham!

This little turkey is from Whimsie Doodles. It is a digital image. The same with the sentiment. The sentiment came with about 6 or more fun sentiments. All digital. I picked this sentiment because one, we always eat way too much at thanksgiving right?! Two, you cant tell in this photo but I colored the turkey with copics, added some glitter, cut him out and then put him on one of those wobblers. So when you flick him he wobbles. So I thought that was perfect for the sentiment also.
I used the sketch from sketch saturday .

2nd Set of Monkeys!

Here are the other two little monkeys I did. So all three cards are the same except the papers. These papers are from a 6x6 paper pack I picked up somewhere. I dont use them often because they usually only come with like two sheets of each. But this one came with 4 of each design. I think I got it from Taylored Expressions but I cant remember for sure.
I am off to make a Thanksgiving card!

So Cute And Peaceful!

This little kitty used to be Frankie, now his name is Oscar. His name has changed everytime he comes over. Who knows why. Doesnt he look so cute and peaceful? He was so playful visiting yesterday. So he was ruting around on the table between Kati and I and so I got him a blanket and he layed down and hung out with us.
My little monkey card was a remake of a card I made last year I think. Not sure why. I know it was before our computer crashed because I lost the image and had to repurchase him from All That Scraps. But it is still cheaper buying him twice than a rubber stamp and less space.
I was making up a kit for a friend and and I made some extras for myself, so I have three extras sitting in front of me and Kati says "Will you make one for me?" I said I have three extras here, and of course she says "But I want different colors." Then she goes thru my papers giving me a hard time on how much I have, cant find anything she likes and she picks some of her own little stash. So I made 4 of thses because I didnt want to waste it. I just love this little guy and the color combo Kati picked out turned out pretty nice.

Seeing Spots!

For several of the purses I did I used the spotted paper pack from stampin up. I love these papers. I did a yellow purse with them last month. I love those papers. I was going to use the red but thought it would be great for christmas so I decided to use some other red dotted paper I had.
Today I started working on some cards. I remade a card that a friend wanted made into a kit and I am now working on a fun saturated canary christmas card.
So stay tuned for some cards!

What is that Brownish Glob??

Does anyone know what this brownish glob is? They were all over the beach. We made sure not to step on them in our barefeet because they were jellyfish and we figured they would still be able to sting us. So I was trying to watch the sunset and watch the ground so I didnt step on one of these. They are very fallish looking with their colors arent they??

This purse I made was black velvet and very elegant looking. I used some of my antique lace I had found at an antique store awhile back to go with it.

Purse #3

Here is another purse I made. This one is made with SU papers. I love the red paper.
I tried something a little different for the design on this one. It work once but on the second purse I had to throw part of it away and start over, so I only did the diagonal strips on this one purse.

Awesome Day at The Beach!

Here are some of our beach pictures from sunday. The weather was soooo awesome. The last picture is Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach. The weather was the best there because there was no wind like there was earlier in the day at Oceanside.
The fog was just a haze in the distant. It never came into any of the towns we were in which was really nice.
Some day I really would like to live there. A house on the beach. It wouldnt matter if the weather was yucky, you could spend those days sitting in the house looking out at the ocean. How peaceful would that be???

Christmas Land!

Well, the card in my head that woke me at 4am yesterday was a little different than this but I liked how it turned out anyway.
I used SU papers, embossing folder, dies and stamps. Everything on this card is SU except the little border with the trees and houses. That is from Memory box.
I added lots of glitter to this card to represent snow. I would put some on and then decide to put it somewhere else and ended up doing it about three times.
I like the end result of the card.
