Creative Inspirations!

Today I made my card using the Creative Inspirations Challenge sketch. This is a Peddlers Pack stamp. I have stamped it and colored it with copic markers. Then I added dimensional glaze to the shoe and sugar glitter to the pompom on top. I cut it out with some spellbinders dies. The designer papers have shoes all over them but you cant see them alot from this angle, they are papers from Karen Foster Designs.

Yellow Tilda

Its been awhile since I have made a magnolia card. I was playing around with this new Spellbinders die I got. I have the Mega die and the regular size. With my cuttlebug the yellow layer is the biggest I can go. I wanted to make the whole card base with it but will have to wait until I get my Grand Calibur. They must be really popular because it has been on backorder for quite some time. There are three companies I have been watching that have all had them on back order and now are in stock, so hopefully mine will come soon.
I used the background stamp from SU called Stitched (I think) with So Saffron Ink. The 1st layer is So Saffron Cardstock. I used my magnolia flower die and triple layered the flower and then put some Gala Glitz from Heartfelt Creations in the center. I love this yellow designer paper from Promise Me Collection from Sei. In fact I just did a purse with it that I will be showing one of these days. I really like how it turned out.
I went to Michaels to get some more leopard print paper yesterday and found some great papers. I will have to take a picture and show them. They are going to make some fabulous purses. Cant wait!
I am entering this card in a couple of challenges:

Sweet Sketch Wednesday

Isnt this little guy adorable? He is a Peddlers Pack stamp. If you are interested in him you can click on my sidebar on the Peddlers Pack image and check out all their stamps. The greetings is Peddlers Pack also. I made this little guy using the Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch. I turned my sideways. Also at Flutter By Wednesday, there challenge this week is a Thinking of You card and of course wings. You cant see this guys wings but we all know they are there.
I used Glossy Accents on his eyes to make them pop out a little since they seem to be a little crazy already. I wanted to put some of those googley eyes on him but didnt want to make a trip to the store just for that. I used Doodlebugs Snips and Snails ds paper and paired it with SU Lucky Limeade and Ballet Blue. Added some ribbon and dew drops and some glitter after coloring him with copic markers and all done.

Lily of the Valley

This little cutie is from Lily of the Valley. He is jumping over the Easter Eggs with his pogo stick. Remember those? I colored him with copic markers and added some glitter. I used the sketch from The Sweet Stop. Used up some of my easter papers and added some flowers. Also got to use my new little leaf punch I picked up at convention.
Speaking of convention. Here are some Cheery Lynn dies I picked up there. The upper one and one on the right are ones I have wanted for a long time but never got around to ordering them and there they were. Yeah!

Sketch Saturday!

Here are some more goodies from convention. I got all of the flourescent copic markers. They had a really good price and since I didnt bring my color book I knew I was safe getting all of these. Also I got these two adorable Whipper Snapper stamps, a punch and some fun stuff for the center of flowers and wherever you want some colorful bling from Judikins.
For my cards today, I made two of the same but with different ds papers. I used the sketch from sketch saturday for my card. I love this little turtle and he is easy and fun to color.
The other Whipper Snapper stamp is the mate to the stamp they used for the card on the front of the first copic marker coloring book. I have both of the books and they are very helpful and fun.

Convention Treasures!

I went to the Heirlooms Rubber Stamp convention today. It seems like every year there is less there then the year before. But I always seem to find plenty to spend my money on. It was a great day to go. The weather wasnt sunny but it wasnt boring down rain like last year either so we didnt get soaked but didnt miss a bright sunny day either. It was almost 60 and cloudy. Quite a bit different then the snow a few days ago.
Anyway, on to my treasures. Everything,(almost) fit into a little app 5x7" bag. Except my coffee mug and Close to My Heart catty.
Sorry the picture is a little dark. So here is my bag of treasures, my new CTMH catty and my adorable coffee mug. Here is a close up of my mug.
This adorable mug came with everything you see here in it. Directions for two cupcake card, three stamps, a little inker and a liquid applique (aka frosting). Isnt this the most adorable idea you ever saw?? It was at the Make an Impression booth. I just had to have it. They had one other and it was a Thanks A Latte Stamp Kit.

Stay tuned for more close up of my treassures from the rubber stamp convention!

Is Monochromatic day over at the Art Impressions blog. So you should hop on over and see what the girls have come up with.
I found this great blue doily paper the other day, October afternoon Button Box. I love the doily look in the background. I have colored my Easter Tulips from Art impressions with inks and my watercolor brush. It is stamped on watercolor paper. I used a Martha Stewart punch and some yummy lace I found last weekend at an Antique store in Cannon Beach. The sentiment is A Basketful of Blessings also from Art Impressions.

Art Impressions Day!

Today is my first day to post on Art Impressions blog. This the project I came up with. I made this little Easter basket using Tea Time. I think these little bunnies are so cute having tea together. They could be used for a lot of things besides easter like tea parties, best friends, birthdays. All kinds of stuff.
I didnt really have a pattern for the basket. I just kind of made a box. Then decorated it. I filled it with some grass and some Easter candy. The greeting is warmest easter wishes from Art impressions also.
I colored the image and then cut it out with a large oval die from spellbinders, then used some pretty ds paper from Best creations with another spellbinders die. The greeting I punched 1st with an su punch and then a scalloped circle spellbinders.
I added some glitter and ribbon and those cute little butterflys. The border on the top and grass on the bottom are Martha Stewart punches. Also the handle is a martha stewart punch.

Hectic Lifestyles!

I made this card for this months card contest at Art Impressions. This months contest is Hectic Lifestyles.
I thought this gal on the run to scrapbook looked like she was having a very hectic day. You can find her at Art Impressions. She is called Cropper (Sku#U4092). She comes in two sizes. The sentiment at the top is handwritten because I didnt have a stamp to use. But Art Impressions also has a stamp just like this C4091 that says the thing.
I colored my image with copic markers. Cut her out, then layered it with a spellbinders die. The ds paper is from Best Creations and the cardstock is Melon Mamba from stampin up.
I have also used the sketch from Sketch Saturday.
So dig out your Art Impressions stamps and go enter their monthly contest.

Heartfelt Creations Baskets!

These are the baskets that were used for the Heartfelt Creations make n take. I added the leaves. They werent on the original basket. I love this basket die. The dies and stamps are all Heartfelt Creations.
We used the Decorative Layored Basket and Carnation Creations dies, Carnation Florals 2 Precut Stamp Set, also inside the basket is little clear box. I used Gelatos to color the basket and some Elements for the inside of the flower. All these supplies can be found at Heartfelt Creations. They only items I used that I didnt get there is the cardstock and I added some Glitter Liner from Viva around the edges of the flower for a little sparkle.
I think there is lots you could do with these baskets. They could be for wedding favors, birthdays, easter, christmas. They could also be sparkled and glittered up some more for a fancier look, or put other flowers on them. The skys the limit!

New Products!

Since I havent had time for stamping in the last couple of weeks, I decided to show you the new product we used at the convention last weekend. These are called Gelatos and are made by Faber Castell. They are cute little chapstick looking containers. They feel like a creamy crayon. The are a Creamy Vibrant Pigment and water soluble. They work great on light papers or dark. They come in a lot of different colors. I got 5 of them myself so that is twenty. I think the only ones I didnt get were the black, gold and silver ones. Those were sold out.
We colored our image 1st. We just rubbed some of the color on a flower and then smoothed it out with our finger. Then we spritzed the image and added just a little outline of a different color and blended it in with a paintbrush. Each of these little packs come with a clear stamp and a paintbrush. The directions on the back of the package talk about using the stamp as a negative image.
I will be playing with these some this weekend and will show you some samples later.

Convention with Heartfelt Creations!

I had a great time working at the Heartfelt Creations booth friday and saturday at the Scrapbooking convention with Emma Lou and Richard. They were the nicest people to work with. I was so nervous when I got there but Emma Lou made me feel very welcome from the first minute we met. Richard was great too.
I did the make and takes for them both days. We made these adorable little baskets. Silly me I didnt even bring one home or take a picture, but they were so adorable I will be making some and will take a picture. I was totally exhausted at the end of both days but it was an exciting experience and I loved it.
I also got lots of great stuff to take home with me so that was an added bonus. If you ever need any great inspirations check out their site. They have great samples and Emma Lou does great videos also. You can check them out at Heartfelt Creations.
They will be at the Heirloom Rubber Stamp convention around the 24 or 25 the of March. Whatever the dates are that weekend. But I dont believe Emma Lou and Richard will be there. I think they said their other team will be doing that one but I am postive they will be just as great!

Exciting News!!

This has been a really exciting week for me stamping wise. 1st I heard from Art Impressions and they would like me to be on their design team. I was really excited to hear about that. They contacted me because of a card I entered in their contest last month.
Then I got hired to work at the Heatfelt Creations booth at the Scrapbooking Convention next friday and Saturday. I will be doing the make and takes. I saw on their newsletter they were looking for people so I inquired just for fun and they hired me. I cant wait for that! I am thrilled and scared to death at the same time.
Tomorrow I am off to the beach for the weekend with some co-workers. We are going to be having some fun hanging out. We will be doing some drinking and I am taking the supplies to make the purses like I made. We will see how this works out!
Cant wait!

Friends!

This is another Peddlers Pack sample card. This little bunny is tying the bonnet for the duck. It is so sweet. This was another sketch that I am too late to put enter in. Probably a whole week too late. Oh well! I used rose red card stock and some more best creations designer paper. I made the flowers with some marvy punches. Ran them thru the swiss dots embossing folder to give them a little dimension. The rose red card stock is run thru an embossing folder also. Added some ribbon and pearls.
