Sweet Occasions!

I used my new sweet occasions set from Taylored Expressions. I got it with my cool christmas present. It was a gift certificate from Taylors store. I got lots of cool things. I love this doodlebug paper with the yummy stuff on it. I used PTI cardstock Hibiscus Burst. Colored the image with copic markers and added some stickles and ribbon. Also a few dew drops.

Shower Bug!

I wanted to make something fun and easy so I made this card. I actually cased it but I cant provide a link because I cant find it again. I can tell you tho it was made orginally by Inkspiration. I googled the name but couldnt find the card on her website. I changed it just a little. Coloring her wasnt easy but isnt she just adorable. I also love this ds paper. It is from the Basic Grey Lemonade collection. This is Shower Bug from Stamping Bella and so is the sentiment. You cantsee the sentiment very well but I thought it went great with the card.
I took the picture for this using my new camera I got yesterday for my birthday, which is today.
We went out to dinner at Red Lobster last night because Kati has to work tonight. I had peppercorn sirloin steak and lobster. It was delicious. Then we went and looked at some christmas lights. Today I took the day off work just for fun and I am planning on stamping and reading all day. Kati has me hooked on this new book from Terry Brooks I think. It is about fairys and dragons, and a magical kingdom. Last night I woke up at 12:30 when the heat coming on slammed the bedroom door closed and scared me. I couldnt go back to sleep so I read until about 2:00.

Pure Innocence!

Its so nice to make something other than a christmas card again. I have been waiting to play with this little gal. She is from My Favorite Things. One of the Pure Innocence stamp sets. I thought this would be a fun winter card. Although there is a flower on it but I think that Camillas will be opening up in January so I will just pretend that is what this flower is. I used a stampin up die to make the flowers. It is called Floral Fusion. The ds paper is from Jolly By Golly Smitten Mitten from Cosmo Cricket. I think it goes perfect with stampin ups in color papers Crushed Curry and Melon Mamba. I colored her with copic markers and glittered all the snow. Maybe making winter cards with snow will make it snow here. But probably not!

My Pink Flocked Tree! Also TESC95

I started this little guy a few weeks ago. He was out cutting down pink flocked trees. I wish I had one for my house. I would probably have pink flocking all over the house. Instead I have glitter everywhere. This cute santa is from High Hopes. I colored him with copic markers and glittered the tree with candy pink sparkles from Our Craft Lounge. I used white sparkly glitter on his hat. The sentiment is from stampin up Best Yet. My ds papers are basic greys Eskimo kisses. I made 30 of these today, plus three loads of laundry in 8 1/2 hours. My back is really tired and I am ready for bed.
Also, I made this card for taylor expressions sketch challenge for this week. TESC95. I had to tweak it a little bit because the santa didnt fit across the top like I wanted.

Christmas Tree Card!

Well, I havent had much to post lately. I have been too busy with orders for cards. My hubbys work has been keeping me pretty busy. He ordered christmas cards and his friend that I made baby annoucements for liked them so much his wife ordered two dozen more.
This weekend I am working on our family christmas cards so I can get them sent out on monday.
This is a card I made for my hubbys work. It is from the Lovely As A Tree set from stampin up. I think that is a set that will be around forever. It is a classic. The sentiment is also from stampin up's Best Yet set. (I think, my table is such a mess.) I used the cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder, spellbinders oval nesties and my stampin up oval punches.

Here's a picture of our fountain in our back yard. It has been so cold.
The blower on our furnace is still holding together but we dont know for how much longer. Of course they havent given us an estimate on the new blower yet. Hopefully, this one will last for awhile.

New Christmas Card!

Well, Christmas is close to two weeks away and I dont have any christmas cards made for myself. I was going to make this card. But now dont know if I will have time. My hubby needs cards for his work and I have to make 4 name cards for a co-worker. Also the birth annoucements I made a few weeks ago, the wife liked them so much and cant find anything like them so I will be making more of them hopefully. So I will be spending lots of time stamping this weekend but I do have to work on saturday also.
Its been a little chilly this week and with the weather getting in the teens this week at night our furnace decided to quit. The repair man was out at 7:30 last night and got it working for a little bit. It needs a new blower. He set it at a higher setting to make it work but we dont know how long it will last.

Quick Thank You!

I wanted to make a quick thankyou card for the christmas card order I got from my hubby's work. Quick and simple. So I came up with this card. I had received a store bought card at work and liked the style. I had to add a layer to my card tho because if I just stamped my image and on the white card base and colored it my copic markers would have gone thru to the inside. My flower image is from Gina K Designs. If I used her white cardstock I wouldnt have had to worry about it. Her videos say her cardstock is thicker and copic markers dont bleed thru. But everyone that uses copic markers say they are supposed to. Even at the copic marker class Marianne Walker said that. I think the Copic marker company even makes papers as thin as copy paper that Marianne recommended.
Anyway, the sentiment and little doodah under it is from Verve. It is my new set called Thankful accents.

Taylors Sketch Challenge

This is Taylors sketch challenge for this week. You can check out all her challenges over at http://www.tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com/. She also has some new stamps available. They are really cute and some neat card kits also. I am hoping for a gift certificate for christmas or my birthday so I can order a couple of sets I have on my wish list.

Here is my card using Taylors sketch challenge. I have had this little snowman forever and just used him for the 1st time. I also used the Celebrate Everything set from stampin up. I have had this snowman paper for a year or two also. You cant see much of the snowmen but its really cute paper.

1st College Course!

Sorry, no postings for awhile. I havent had time to do anything new. I have started on a pink flocked christmas card but that will have to wait. I got an order for some christmas cards I have to work on this weekend and have ready to go on monday.
GUESS WHAT! I just signed up for my first college course ever. I am excited. Its not anything really important. I am going to take a calligraphy class. Then if I dont have the exact sentiment I want I can just write my own. But I will get a little taste of college life. Maybe meet some new craft friends. It is once a week for almost 4 hours!!
I will keep you posted.
Have a good weekend!

Skatin By!

I just love this little raccoon. This time he is out skating. He is from Stampendous and so it the sentiment. I found this layout for the card somewhere when I was cruising around. Cant remember where, but I liked it and thought I would use it. It is a great card layout for scraps. I have tons of what 1 1/4 and 1" white scraps. I got rid of a lot of them with this card because I am using it for my stamp club tomorrow.
I used some christmas paper and stampin up cardstock. The ribbon is some I got from codwholesale.

Papertrey Ink Card!

I thought this paper from Basic Grey would go perfect with this stamp from papertrey ink. My nice sis sent me some stamped images of it. I colored the house with copic markers and added some glitter for a snow look. The wreath wouldnt fit on the front store so I added it to the side. It is from the Poinsettia and Boxwood set from Flourishes. I borrowed this set from my friend Alice. The sentiment is from Verve. It comes with a poinsettia stamp. I used stampin up bravo burgundy and pink piroutte.

Gift Box!

I made a matching gift box for my birth anouncements. Also included a card for all the co-workers to sign to go with the gift. My hubby really liked it. I hope the new mother likes it also.

I have had these boxes stashed away for years. They really come in handy. I think I got them when I was a Close To My Heart rep. We are going to Target and get a blanket or something to go with the gift also.

New Baby Card!

My Hubby called me from work yesterday saying he just found out a work associate just had a baby that morning. Could I make something for them to give them on Monday. So I decided to make some birth annoucements for them. I made twentyfive of these cards. I had seen a card and saved it awhile back wanting to make some baby cards but didnt have anyone to make them for. It took me all day today to make these.
I used designer paper form the DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Boy. I have had this paper pack for almost all this year I think. At least since last spring. I know I used it in March, so a long time.
I combined it with stampin up baja breeze and certainly celery. The stamp is one of the little $1 stamps and I also used a stamp from the Punches Three stampin up set. It was a hostess set, last year I think. I used my nestibilites and stampin up punches and colored the giraffe with copic markers. Then I used my white pen around the scallop and a black pen for my faux stitches.

Zoe & Gemmas Snow Fun

This is one of my new stamps from Wags N Whiskers. Its a very large stamp so I had to make it square, which I think I said in my last post is not one of my favorites. I see other peoples square cards and they are beautiful, but oh well. Anyway, even making it square there still wasnt much room left. But I think this image is so cute with the little kitty helping build the snowman. I colored it with copic markers. I added sparkly stuff on the tops of their hats and some glitter here and there on them. I added a little ribbon and some snowflakes, plus the sentiment and thats all there was room for.

Poinsettia

I made this card using the watercoloring technique with the reinkers. I only used one color of reinker, purely pomangrante. I embossed the poinsettia in gold first on shimmery white cardstock. The ribbon is from codwholesale. I used my stampin up punches and my nestibilities.
The papers are eskimo kisses from basic grey and stampin up cardstock. I put gold stickles in the middle of the flower.

Plum Tea Card

This card is just like my previous tea card that matched the calender. I was looking to see if I had any of the charms left I used for the calender and came across these teapot charms so I decided to go with the plum color. I used stampin ups perfect plum and pale plum. I used a different sentiment also still from the papertrey ink set Tea for Two.

Froggy Birthday Card!

Yesterday was my hubby's birthday so I made him this card. We have frogs in our backyard like 5 feet from the bedroom window that keep us awake most of the spring. You cant believe how unbelieveably loud they are. People say I love to listen to frogs. I used to too but when they are 5 feet from your window and in mating season from the March until the end of May and you dont get sleep you really end up not liking them. Anyway, now I have been buying frog stamps and papers. Go figure. So I saw this at a stamp store and couldnt resist the paper. Its from K&Co and is called Actopus To Zelephant Frogs. The color seems off alittle. The cardstock is a bazzill green and is much brighter in person. My sentiment is a Gina K set.
I think my hubby liked it but who knows???

Another Bernadette Card!

This is the other Bernadette card I did for Kraftin Kimmies Blog Challenge, "Get Stitched". I am not good at stitching and realized that the ribbon it double stitched, so thats my stitching. The designer papers are eskimo kisses by Basic Grey. I love these papers. I also used stampin up ribbon and cs purely pomegranate and pink piroutte cardstock. The flowers my friend Alice pointed me in the direction of a great tutorial by Stamped Art by Lisa. They are done with Martha Stewart punches. Mine are a little flatter than hers are but thats ok.I colored her a tiny bit differently than the other pink Bernadette card. I used my copic markers again.

Meet Oliver!

Meet Oliver. Isnt he the cutest? He is a new stamp from Kraftin Kimmies rubber stamps. I think he is just adorable. I colored him with copic markers. Then layered him on red. I put little white dots around the red. I wanted to give it a snowflake effect. The sentiment came with Oliver. The snowflake under the sentiment and beside Oliver are from sizzix. I ran the small snowflake thru my sticker xyron machine to glitter it and then glittered the snowflake under the sentiment with my glue pen and glitter. The ds papers are from bobunny. My cardstock is from stampin up, old olive and real red. This card is for Beate Johns WSC105.

Bernadette & KKSC5

This is Bernadette. She is from Kraftin Kimmie's Rubber Stamps. Isnt she adorable? I had to go pink with her because she is just too cute. This is for Kraftin Kimmies Blog Challenge, Get Stitched! I went for faux stitching and it didnt turn out very well. You can barely see it around the pink embossed piece. I used Basic Grey papers Eskimo Kisses and stampin up pink piroutte and whisper white. The ribbon is stampin up also. Some satin retired ribbon I think is purely pomegranate. I used my nesties and ran it thru the cuttlebug with the snowflake embossing folder. The snowflakes were made with a martha stewart punch and then I layered them with some little plastic flowers and a pink velevet brad.

I think I might have gone a little overboard with the rhinestones but I kept getting them two close together.

June Calender and TESC89

This is my calender for June. I didnt meet my deadline yesterday so I only got three calenders done instead of 4 but at least I feel I got a lot accomplished.

I used some Creative Imaginations papers I was saving to scrapbook some beach pictures. Hopefully I still have enough left. Also stampin up cardstock Not Quite Navy. The stamp sets I used is from Flourishes Seaside Life and Papertrey Inks Tea for Two. Its funny that both sets I used this weekend for my Tea/Coffee theme are named the same and from two different companies.

I made the matching card for Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #89. I really like the way the card turned out. For some reason it reminds me of a quilt.

For the teapot I used the little sand dollar from the flourish set and reverse masked the teapot and stamped it across the front. Then I stamped the word seashells above that. I then used my diamond glaze to make it look like a real teapot. I really like the way the whole thing turned out.

I used my My Favorite Things set again Tea for Two. I love this little mouse. It is sooo cute. I colored it with copic markers. My snowflakes are a sizzix die and the center piece is a nestibility.
I used old olive and real red stampin up cardstock and basic grey eskimo kisses pepermint twist designer papers. I used my favorite buttons again. I just love these buttons. They are Dress It Up buttons called The Color of Christmas.

Too Much Pink??!! Never!!!!

Of course anyone that knows me knows that I looooove pink! Its my absolute fav! So I saw this card done on Pickled Papers and loved it. So I had to use her colors and make it into a calender and card. You can visit her card here http://pickledpaperdesigns.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html.

My friend Alice and I have been trading calenders for years. Before that we did calenders with a stamp club we used to belong too. For next year Lynn decided to join us and we decided to make all our calenders at once so we would have a whole year at one time. Previously Alice and I were just giving them to each other one month at a time.

We each have 4 months to do. I decided to get mine all done this weekend and also to make a card to match each calender. Then I decided to have a theme for all 4 of my months. Can you tell what my theme is? Tea or coffee related.

I just got this set in the mail yesterday. I bought it because of the card I saw on Pickled Paper's blog. So I decided to use it for my 1st month. This set is called Tea for Two and it is by My Favorite Things. I love the little bunnies in the cup. I used basic grey papers from the bittersweet collection. Also pretty in pink and chocolate chip stampin up cardstock. The month is from hero arts and the calender is from Paper Inspiration. I used my oval nesties and for the month I used a stampin up sizzix die and the large oval punch. I used Our Craft Lounge's White Sparkly Fluff on the bunnies tail and Icicle stickles on the dots on the tea cup. I used several different flowers I had laying around and some stampin up brads and a martha stewart leaf punch. The ribbon is also from stampin up.

On the card I added a tag because I am also using the card for Kraftin Kimmies blog challenge this week is anythin with a tag.

This is my card for Kraftin Kimmies blog challenge. KKSC3. Shades of Autumn. I love this line of Basic Grey papers. Indian summer. I also love when we have an Indian summer. These papers are so gorgeous and match almost all of the incolor stampin up colors. I used crushed curry and soft suede cardstock and crushed curry ribbon. I found the little spoon charm I had had forever.
The stamp set is from Papertrey Ink and is called Warm Happiness. Dont ya just love that name? I added Yellow stickles on the spots on the cocoa cup. It makes me feel warm to just look at it.

Stick Chicks

I used to love stick chick stamps but havent used them in like forever. They are made by american art stamps. This one is called building a snowman. I found it when I went to the beach with the girls in like june or july but it was a wood mounted price for a cling mounted stamp so I put it back. Then when I went to the beach with Kati last month or so it was on sale for like $5. So I thought to myself thats more like it and got it. I cant remember where the ds paper is from but the cardstock is stampin ups blue bayou and purely pomegranite. Both retired in-colors from a few years ago. I think that is also Old Olive. I used stampin up punches and my nesties. Colored it with copic markers and glittered it. The ribbon is also retired stampin up.

Another Fall Card!

This is a fall card I did for stamp club. I saw this card at Craft Warehouse on a stampendous display and totally changed the papers. I used basic grey designer paper indian summer maple sugar and stampin ups incolors crushd curry and rich razzleberry. Both the butterfly and the sentiment are from stampendous. They are the rubber unmounted ones on cling plastic. Even tho they are acrylic you can still place them really well like when I used the pumpkin on top of rocco's head in a previous card. I colored the butterfly with my incolor stampin up markers and watercolor brush.

TESC87 and last KKSC2

I combined two challenges for this card. 1st I made it for Taylors sketch challenge for this week. tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com. I felt it needed a little something else so I added the flower at the top with a button so I decided it would work for kraftin kimmies button challenge also. Isnt this little guy cute? That is almost more cupcake than he can handle. I stamped him with black versafine. That is one thing about using my watercolor pencils again. I really missed using my versafine. It is so much darker than the inks you have to use with copic markers. I know there are pros and cons to everything. I used my su in colors rich razzleberry and bermuda bay. I felt they go really well with the basic grey lemonade designer papers I used. The sentiment is from Impression Obsession and the adorable little mouse is from Whiff of Joy. I used the stampin up scallop punch for the sentiment and my nesties for the mouse. I sponged bermuda bay ink around all the edges and found some flowers in my stash. The ribbon is su also rich razzleberry.

Kraftin Kimmies Challenge

I am participating in Kraftin Kimmies Challenge for this week. It is a button challenge. You have to have buttons on your card. This is my second card. I will show the 1st one later. I found these buttons at Craft warehouse. I just love them. I had seen some like this at a yarn store in Newport awhile back on a sweater but they were different colors. At the time I was thinking those would be great on a card. So I have been looking for some every since.
I started making this card because I wanted to use the santas. They are from High Hopes. I bought them last year and never used them. I think they are so cute and the sentiment is perfect with them. It is from High Hopes also.
I decided to take a break from my copic markers and used my colored pencils and watercolor brush. I really liked how it turned out.
The papers are from stampin up. Real Red and Christmas Cocoa designer paper. I guess its about that time of year to make christmas cards.

My 2nd card TESC86

I made a 2nd card for taylors sketch challenge. I used one the stamps from her set. I love these flowers. You can check it out for yourself at her online store. She is great. I used papers Deena's Paper Lane from My Minds Eye. I love how soft this card looks. I think it would be a great birthday or wedding card. I used it as a thinking of you card. The stamp is from Endless Creations. I love the font on this stamp. I have a Happy Birthday stamp from them also. It looks it was handwritten. I had a little ribbon left from some wedding card samples I did awhile back and got these little ribbons at a stamp store in Newberg. I colored the image with copic markers and layered it with my nesties then put some pink candy dodahs I bought from Taylors online store awhile ago. I used Pink Piroutte and Baja Breeze for the cardstock. I really love these two colors and will be so sorry to see them go when I run out.

My 1st Card for Taylors Sketch

So here is my1st card for Taylors Sketch TESC86. I used Airy Fairy papers again. I love these colors. They are from Kaisercraft. This is Puttin On The Glitz from My Favorites Things. I love this gal. She is great. I colored her with copic markers and added some glitter to her scarf. I used my new punch from stampin up and my border punch from Ek Success. I thought stampin up cardstock bermuda bay and orchid opulence go perfect with these papers.
