Fall is Here!

Well, our leaves are barely starting to turn colors and even tho the weather is beautiful, you can feel fall. It is here!
So, that means Halloween cards, fall cards christmas cards, you know the drill. This is my first Halloween card. I used stampin ups Autumn Apparitions and All Holidays. I actually pulled out my stampin up markers to color the images. I used only orange, basic black, river rock and very vanilla cardstock. My designer paper is Reminisce Halloween Collection. I also actually pulled out one of my stampin up wheels for the bottom of the card. The ribbon is More Mustard. I had these leaves I got at Craft Warehouse yesterday for my November calenders and decided to put some of them on because I felt the card needed just a little something.
I used my stampin up oval and scalloped oval punches.

Septembers Key Ingredients Kit Challenge!

I've subscribed for a month subscription to Taylors Key Ingredients kit at http://www.tayloredexpression.blogspot.com/. Her store is great. Every month you get a different one automatically sent to you. When you do this you can also purchase other things that month for 10% off . This month I have joined the key ingredient challenge. To make cards that are distressed and a kitchen theme. So I used all the ingredients from my kit and made 6 cards that are similiar but each a little different. I distressed the 1st layer with the coffee pot with my distressing tool (1st time I have used it) and also distressed all the layers except the main card base with Papertrey inks Dark Chocolate ink.

Revised Gertie!

I changed my Gertie/Lulu stamping bella card a little. I gave her a little eyeshadow to make her eyes pop a little. Also, I added some twinkling H20s. When I went to the beach with the girls last month, Lynn had us use some. So of course I had to go out and bye some. This card also has different ds paper on it. Its just the back side of the other and I did a pink flower with white polka dots. I forgot to mention on the last picture that I also ran the flowers thru the cuttlebug in the textile embossing folder. It just gives them a little more dimension.

My 1st Lulu Card!

Here is my 1st Lulu card from Stamping Bella. This little gal is Gertie. Isnt she adorable?
I finally used my Stampin Up ds paper Thoroughly Modern. I love the colors in it. These are the new "In Colors" for this year. I used Bermuda Bay and Melon Mamba cs melon mamba polka dot ribbon. I used my ever faithful nesties. Also the sentiment is from Stamping Bella also. I punched out the flower with a martha stewart flower punch after I stamped white cs with a polka dot stamp from My Favorite Things Behind The Scenes set. I used a crushed velvet brad in the center of the flower. I have bubble gum and swimming pool colors from doodlebug designs. I miss the sugar coated brads. They arent as easy to find. Its like they were replaced with the velvet ones or something. But I just happened to pick these two colors up at a cool scrapbook store when Kati and I were at the beach last weekend.

Close up Of the Monkeys!

Here is a closer picture of the monkeys in the center of the frame. I had to attach the two side pieces to the center because there are big plastic do hickeys on the back to hang the picture with and they showed thru. Otherwise the side monkeys that arent shown in this picture would have been floating by themselves.

Personalized Picture!

I have a coworker who is decorating her spare bedroom for her two grandkids. She gave me a picture of the comforter and we picked out colors. She is decorating in colors similar to certainly celery, baja breeze and soft suede with monkeys. So I made this for her grandson. I will be making another one for her granddaughter but I wanted to make sure she liked this one 1st before I start the other one. I know it doesnt show really well here in the picture. The picture frame is all glass except for the thin edge. So it was hard to take a good picture of it. It also didnt want to stand up very well for me. Above is a close up picture so you can see the monkeys better.

My First Stair Step Card

This is my 1st stair step card. I broke down and bought a scor-pal to make it. So far I am not really impressed with the scor-pal but I know several people that have one and love it so I will keep using it and see what happens.
I used stampin up kiwi kiss (I will be so sad when my stash of kiwi kiss is gone!) and cameo coral cardstock and some basic grey lemonade ds paper. I used my martha stewart punch for the 1st time. I love it. Also my new nesties for the 1st time. Lots of 1sts with this card. Oh, also my stampin up scallop circle punch. Another 1st is my just rite stampers stamp. I love the saying on this card. I colored it with copic markers. I was thinking I added glitter and you couldnt see it in the picture and then realized I forgot to add glitter so I will be doing that also.

Frisky Racoon!

I saw this card at Craft Warehouse and couldnt resist duplicating it. I think this frisky little racoon is so cute. All three of these stamps are by stampendous. They are some of their unmounted stamps. They have the image on the back so you can see thru the acrylic block and it is so easy to place it. I used stampin up always artichoke and old olive cardstock and copic markers. The little hinge doo hickey is stampin up hodge podge hardware and the ribbon is some I had that was as close as I could get to match. I think this card could be used for fall or Halloween. I sent it to a cousin who just lost her 37 yr old husband in a freak accident.

TESC82 Taylors Sketch Challenge!

I made this card for Taylors Sketch Challenge #82. (http://www.tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com/). I love her blog. She is very inspirational. (I know I keep saying this.).
I used some paper I got at the beach scrapbook store this week. It is from a line of scrapbookin supplies called cookbookin'. It has cool papers and accents. If you are wanting to make a scrapbook for your recipes or scrapbook pages, check them out. I cant find their website on the back of a package Kati had laying around but try http://www.cookbookin.com/ or something like that. Kati has been making a recipe scrapbook and it is really great. She has used a few of these. I will be posting some of her recipe pages. She is doing a great job.
Anyway, for my card I used some of the papers from cookbookin'. These pages are like a 50's diner theme. I layer it with black on a white card. My stamps are from My Favorite Things set called Here's the Scoop. Its a fun set. I colored my image with copic markers and then used diamond glaze on the fudge sauce and sundae glass. I used stampin up punches and riding hood red satin ribbon.

Home made Bella Storage Case!

What a beautiful day it is here today. Kati and I went to the coast and it was so perfect and hot. We had the most wonderful day. The only bad part was my camera wasnt working.

Anyways! I have been trying to organize all my unmounted acrylic and rubber stamps. They are just two baskets and so hard to find anything. I got one storage case from http://www.ellenhutson.com/. I really liked that one and got lots in it so now I was done to one basket. Then I got that great stamp set from http://www.tayloredexpressions.com/ and got a storage case from her. I really liked that also but one I put a Gina K designs set and my taylored expressions set and 4 of my penny black sets it was all full. Also I still had this big bag of bella stamps. I wanted to do something with them so I could get to them easier. Then I looked at storage on their website http://www.stampingbella.com/ and saw what they did. So I went to office max and found this cool binder and some baseball card pocket sheets and made my own binder. I love it! Also, it only cost me about $7 and I put all my bellas in it and have several full pages left plus a few slots on other pages. My bellas I have boughten sentiments to go with them are right beside my bellas and the sentiments that dont belong with anyone are on a page by themselves. Then I have a misc page, a lulu page and a ketto page. I looove it!!!!!

My pictures my have come out all over the place but you can see the side, I used rubons that say Bellas, then the front with the bubbles, (sorry its sideways!), then the picture of one of the pages.
Oh, I am excited, I get all day sunday with the house to myself to stamp and clean. I cant wait!!! But first I have to work tomorrow. Boo!!!!

Chillax Cards Close Up!

Here is a close up of the chillax cards individually.

Chillax Cards and Stampin Up News!

I just love this new set. It is called Chillax and is from Taylored Expressions. You can visit her great stuff on her blog http://www.tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com/ or check out her online store. You can access it on her blog. I pretty much cased these cards from her blog (with her permission). I changed them just a little. Taylor is a great source for inspiration. She is one of the blogs I check out almost every day! I used stampin up cardstock, summer sun, green galore and riding hood red. Also colored the images with copic markers, diamond glazed all the glasses and used white glitter on the margarita glass and stickles around the sentiment.
When ever I show my work I like to give credit where credit is due. So since stampin up is changing their rules and expects demonstrators to not do this I had to come to a tough decision. Not give credit to the wonderful people who inspire me and the great stamp companies out there or quit being a demonstrator. So I will not be selling stamping up anymore. Honestly, I think its our choice what we put on our blogs. (within reason of course!)
So Thank you Taylor for being such an inspiration for me!!!!

September Calender

Each year my friend Alice and I do calenders. We each do every other month. We trade off each year so we get different months each year. I have the odd months this year and as you can see I am a little late. But at the last minute is when I usually get my ideas and I ordered Doraline two weeks ago and just got it this week.
So my supplies are Doraline with a sunflower by Motivet. I love Doraline, I think is adorable. I have one more I havent used yet. The birthday one. It is very fun. My other stamps are the calender stamp by Paper Inspiration and the september is from Just Rite Stampers. I used su papers Riding Hood Red, Summer Sun and Almost Artichoke. I added some ribbon and I think my ds paper is from Bobunny. I used my black glaze pen on her eyes, shoes and black dots on her dress. Also I colored her with copic markers.

Fun Weekend!

Hello Everyone!
I havent been posting much lately. Just been doing this and that. But this last weekend was great! I met a penpal for the 1st time! (Hi Lynn!). She came out to visit from Minnesota. She is on the right. That is Alice on the left(Hi Alice!). We picked Lynn up at the airport on friday afternoon. We couldnt hit any stamp stores that day because the ones between my house and the airport all seemed to close by 5. But we went to the local mexican restaurant and had great food and margaritas. Saturday we got up and went to two stamp stores and headed to the beach. We stopped at Mo's and had lunch and then went to Alices beach house and stamped from saturday afternoon until monday morning. We stopped at the same two stamp stores on the way home. (Just in case we missed anything!). At the beach we shopped, watched movies, went out to eat, made food at the gouse and of course stamped.
Today we went to breakfast, Stampadeedooda and Michaels and then to the airport. It was a wonderful weekend.
I have purchased many new toys in the last two weeks and hope to have lots of fun stuff soon.
Happy stamping!
