Copic Class w/Marianne Walker from Copics

Yesterday I took a class at a local stamp store. It was a copic class taught by Marianne Walker who has worked for the Copic company for almost 14 years.
She taught the copic certifcation class I took years ago. I just love her classes!
We did this cute hula girl and the sunflower scene. Both of the images were created by Marianne.
She is a great artist and used to design for Our Craft Lounge before they went out of business.
It was a fun and interesting class.
She said there was a 5 hour class given from time to time for skin and hair. I would really like to take that class.

Shopping!

Yesterday Kati and I spent 12 hours shopping for a dress for me to wear to the wedding. Very depressing for me. I felt like a sausage.
Anyway did find a very cute dress that we both liked!

Happy days!

2nd Version for Elizabeth Craft Designs!

This is another version of the card I showed the other day. I love the word dies. I have used the thinking of you on this card. The butterflies I used the shadow die and then a sticker piece from the detailed die as a stencil and glittered them. Everything on this card except the designer paper is from Elizabeth Craft Designs. The pink shimmer paper on the front of the card is from her website also. The shimmer paper is really fun. You can emboss it and then either sand the embossed images for a white look or ink it with black ink to make it stand out.
The pink shimmer edges are cut out with the edgers die also.

Bridal Shower!

I know I mentioned last October that Kati and Dan were engaged. The set a wedding date about 4 weeks ago and it is coming up on August 9th. We are very excited. I made this card for her Bridal Shower invites. I made 70 of these cute little cards. I had found one like this on pinterest with the retired stampin up dress die. But since it was retired I couldnt use it. So I did have the spellbinders one.
So I used it and the skirt is made out of doilies. I think it turned out very cute.
I also made her wedding invitations. I neglected to keep one for myself and am trying to get one back. I may just end up making another but will see what happens.

Another Elizabeth Craft Design Card!

Here is another card I did with elizabeth craft design stickers and dies. They are super fun to make but a little time consuming!
I have colored the stickers with copics again. I did this one on acetate which I shouldnt have because the designer paper shows thru the flower image. But I guess thats okay!

Elizabeth Craft Designs!

I have fallen in love with a new company. It is Elizabeth Craft Designs. She has great video tutorials. I saw a card I liked at a stamp store and wanted to take the class. Els from Elizabeth Craft Designs was going to be here to teach it. It was going to be in Salem the next day also but unfortunately I was busy that weekend and couldnt take either class.
So I went online and found all her great tutorials and started ordering.
The image is a sticker you put on sticky paper and glitter it with microfine glitter. It has to be microfine. Nothing else works. Then I colored it with copic markers. Any alchohol inks will work. Not sure about other kinds.
The polka dot paper is actually one of the dies I purchased from her. It is just an edge die. The pink is some shimmer paper. If you look close you can see different colors in it.
I addes some flowers and buttons and some ribbon I have had forever.
I am so in love with her products I cant help myself!!

Hello!

I have decided I love word dies. I have just a few now. But they add dimension to the card and some texture. I am always watching for them now.
This card I made with a special friend in mind. She loved it. This is a Stampin Bella stamp. It does have a cool saying but I went with the hello instead. I think the saying is "Girls just wanna have fun!".
I found these fun papers at Craft Warehouse and used a stampin up embossing folder on the white cardstock and added the pink rhinestones. The girls dresses are paper pieced. Since I am really not into coloring these days it was lots easier. I totally glittered the pink dress and glittered the plaid dress just on the edges.

Another Flip-It Card!

I am really getting into these flip-it cards! They are soo much fun!
This card is all from The Stamps of LIfe . I am loving her stamps also. This flip-it die is an exclusive die made by sizzix for The Stamps of Life. I have used a set called birthday4cookie and the matching dies. Everything had a die except for the gift on the front of the card.
I have learned that it is so much easier to cut your die first and then stamp it (if it is a clear stamp).
I had so much fun with this card. I even pulled out my sugar coating glitter I think I may have use once.
These stamps and dies I purchased at convention but the website is great!!
There is also a video for almost everything on her website. I met Stephanie Barnard at convention and she was just like she is in the videos.
I wish my picture showed up a little better. It is so much cooler in real life.

FlipsIts

I made this flip it card yesterday and it was so much fun. I had no idea what I was doing.
But I cut out the card and then I found this fun paper pack at Michaels (my favorite color combo) and cut out the papers. The next step is decide what you want to do from there. I was having a hard time finding stamps to fit in the middle. I had cut out all the centers and glued them in before I knew what I was doing (BIG mistake). I ended up doing new centers for a couple of them.
I also had glued them in so I couldnt gently peel them off like I could have if I had used double sided tape like I usually do.
I finally pulled out this Taylored Expressions set and used the teapot and teapot die. I used one of the sentiments from the set too.
Then I decided my card was too plain. So I pulled some more paper from my new stack and made the flowers to go with the card and added them and some ribbon I had just recieved with my Ellen Hutson order as a thank you gift.
I really like how this card turned out! I also added the white piece of paper on the right side of the card so there would be a little space to write in.
I really want to get more of these flip it dies. I love them!!!

Work Seminar at Disneyland!

Last weekend we had a seminar for work. It was at Disneyland. I was so nervous for so many reasons but it turned out really good.
One on CEO's or something like that from Disney was the main speaker and he was great!
Had a great time at Disney also. The bottom picture is a few of the girls I was hanging out with from other offices. It was a fun time!
Gotta do some stamping!

Tissue Paper!

This card got its crinkly look by using tissue paper. You stamp your image and greeting on the tissue paper, crinkle it up and then glue it to your card stock.
There is a full tutorial on U-tube under brandys cards.
I used SU Field Flowers and decided to do some sympathy cards and used this little greeting. Also from SU but I cant remember the name!

Pretty Rhinestones!

So I showed these flowers earlier in the week. Here is the finished product. I used the stem from SU's Field Flowers and also the greeting. The Greeting is a little hard to read but when you are looking at the card IRL it shows up alot better.
This card is actually my own design. I havent done one of those for awhile!!
I love these rhinestones and I was able to get 6 cards out of the three packages with these two left over.
I know, I know, I can hear everyone saying "how are you going to send that, thats going to cost extra"
But you know what! I figure if the person you are sending it to is special which I think they would be to send a card like this then they are worth a few extra cents.
I also would send this in a little box I just got for cards so it wouldnt get squished and the rhinestones broken!

Punch Happy!

I recieved a card like this for my birthday last week. It was paper pierced around the flower but I tried 4 different times and each time it was too close in one spot and wrinkled so I gave up.
I cased the card, so I cant give credit to the original person that made it.
I used the blossoms, pansy and butterfly punch. Also the Flower shop set for the flower, Blooming with Kindness for the sentiment and Papillion PotPourri for the butterfly.
The butterfly is glittered and the pink polka dot paper is glitter paper so it is glittered already.
There are those pretty flowers again, I did an awesome card with them also so stayed tuned for that!

Flying Butterfly!

This is another card I found at Brandyscards.com. I love the way the butterfly swings. I added another element to the card I saw on someone elses blog awhile ago but cant remember where.
The butterfly is stamped on watercolor paper and then I used re inkers and a aquabrush to color it. After that I added glossy accents to the whole butterfly and glitter on top while it was still wet.
It swings when the card moves with a butterfly on each side that is attached with fishing line so you cant hardly see what is holding it there.
I couldnt decide if I wanted to color the flowers on the piece that butterfly was attached to but decided not to because I didnt want to it to take away from the butterfly.

Back to the Basics!

I have really gotten back to the basics with this card. I have been tired of coloring for awhile but recently have found a ton of great SU demonstrator blogs and U-tube videos and samples on pinterest so I have really stepped back a bit from the really involved cards with lots of coloring and flowers and all of that. I have probably mentioned Brandys cards . She has the most awesome videos. This card I found one of her videos with a black and white card she did I loved but then I went and looked at the other cards. She did a black and white challenge. I found a different card and then I ended up wtih this card that was a little different then either one of the cards I was looking at. She did do a cool video also with a card box to go with it I may have to try to make.
I used the Delicate Doilies set (I think its called.) and stamped the top half of a white card base with my favorite black ink. Then the bottom half is a black strip ran thru the cuttlebug with an embossing folder. I then put some black and white polka dot ribbon and then one of my sincere salutations greetings (love that set) and stamped it in one of the frames from Four Frames set and used foam tape to attach it to the card. Just to give it some sparkle I added a few rhinestones to the centers of the large doilies but I dont think you can see it in these photos. I did matching envelopes also.

Those pretty flowers in the front are ones I found at Michaels today in their $1 bins but actually their $1 bins are now $1.50 bins. but you get about 12 of these flowers for that price and as you can see they are a nice size. I am thinking of a cool card for them. So we will see how that turns out.

So no designer papers for this card. Just black and white card stock some ribbon stamps, embossing folder and one color of ink.
I think these cards would be pretty in any color.
