Saturday Sketch Challenge!

Hello!
Here is a springy card using mostly all Gina K Design products. The yellow is actually So Saffron from Stampin Up and I did use Mossy Meadow and Old Olive Inks from SU. All other products are from Gina K. The stamps and dies for the flowers and leaves are from the new Gina K Stamp TV kit.
The ds papers are from it also. I had also purchased her inks Blue Denim, Powder Blue, Prickly Pear and Sweet Corn.
I used the sketch from sketch saturday for the layout of this card.
Scraps leftover from other card

Used Sketch from Sketch saturday

I had a few scraps leftover when I made this card. My papers were 6 x 6. So I made them into 1" strips and made the other card. I also had extra roses and leaves cut out.

Floral Wings and CTS#123

This card was made with the sketch from Cas(E) this sketch #123 . I used all the new Stampin Up In-Colors. Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe, Cucumber Crush and Delightful Dijon.
The stamp set is also from the new catalogue and it is called Floral Wings. It has a matching die but it wasnt on the sneek preview list so I had to cut these out by hand. The lace at the bottom of the card is also in the new in-colors. It is 5/8" wide but I only let about less then half of that show. I have used the word window punch for the sentiment which comes with the Floral Wings set. The flower on the butterfly is also in the new catalogue and comes in all the in colors. I have used a little bit of the lace and then put one of the flowers on top.
All of  the items for this card will be in the new catalogue. Everyone will be able to order out of starting June 2nd. I cant wait to start ordering from it.

SFYTT Reverse Confetti Challenge

This card is for the challenge at SFYTT Reverse Confetti . They have some of the cutest stamps and dies. I love this one. I used the little ice cream die and sentiments to go with it. The sentiments are called Love and Ice Cream. It has some really cute sentiments with it.
The DS papers are from Best Creations Inc. Candy Shop collection and I also used SU Strawberry Slush cardstock. I added stickles on the bottome of the hot fudge sauce, the cherry and the ice cream.
The ice cream cup was run thru the cuttlebug with the swiss dots embossing folder.
The little cherry on top is from the cupcake punch from SU.

Cute Purse/Container!

I found this great idea for the wood mount stampin up cases at Inking Idaho's blog on making these cute little purses out of the stampin up wood mount cases. I thought oh no I dont have any and am not going to be ordering for awhile. But then I realized I do have lots of extra thin cases. I have several Stampin Up sets that came in these woodmount size cases. But they are photopolymer sets and fit easily in the smaller cases. So I transferred one of them over to a smaller case and then had a larger case ready to try this new purse.
So it was really easy and fun. I found some pretty papers to use and then decorated the outside of the front and added the handle.
Very cool! You can use it to put cards in with maybe a matching pen and some postage stamps. Or I found out that these cases are the perfect size to put your stamping supplies in for traveling. Like your scissors, bone folder, adhesive, and whatever small tools your might travel with.
So I am off to Tamis house on saturday for a day of stamping and thought I would try it out.
On this case I used some Elizabeth Craft word dies, and Stampin Up butterfly thinlit. I sprayed the butterfly with some Tattered Angel glimmer mist to give it a little bit of sparkle.
You could also add some glitter to the butterfly. Then I put one of the pretty embellishments from the stampin up occasions catalog on the butterfly.

Butterfly Thinlits!

I found this card on pinterest and added just a little bit. I changed the color of the butterfly and added the white row of embossed dots across the bottom. These butterfly thinlits are very popular right now at stampin up. All materials for this card are Stampin Up. I used the Painted Petals stamp set and the hardwood background stamp on Smoky Slate cardstock. I layered it with white to add a little pop to the color. The flowers and fern are elegant eggplant,  primrose petal and old olive. The little butterfly stamped across the top is from one of the Sale a bration sets It is also stamped in Elegant Eggplant and was added from the original card I cased.

Baby Cards!

I made these baby cards for a previous co worker. She is going to be having a baby girl in the middle of June. I made a gift bag to match and put the card for her on the outside instead of an envelope. Then I made 25 cards that say thank you so she can use them after the baby is born.
I received this set last fall at the Stampin Up catalogue premier. I bought the matching punch.
I didnt think I would ever use this set but it does make a cute baby card.

Conserving Paper!

Here is another card I cased from Simply Simple Stamping. It is using Blackberry Bliss cardstock and ink. Also some black ink. The stamp sets used with this card are Gorgeous Grunge, Feel Goods, and Everything Eleanor.
I love the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. It looks so artsy but it works great with a lot of things.
I also punched out some little flowers with a marvy flower punch and added some gold glitter glue.
This card is a little different. The actual opening is on the front and then it is attached to a quarter sheet of Blackberry Bliss cardstock. So the opening is on top not the normal opening. If you are trying to conserve paper this is a really good way to do it.

My Friend!

Here is another card I cased from Simply Simple Stamping. This one is very pretty. The raindrops are
filled in with Glossy Accents and then filled in with Dazzling Diamonds glitter.
The image is stamped on glossy cardstock and then sponged in with yellow for the sun and blue for the sky. I used a crayon around the hello and image that I didnt want the sponging ink to stick too and then when you are done sponging you wipe off the crayon and buff your card at the same time.
The cheaper the crayons the better, because they have more wax in them. I believe I used marina mist and daffodil delight cardstock.

Cupcake Shop!

This was a really fun card to make. I love how it looks like a little bakery shop.
I used the stampin up Create A cupcake stamp set and punch. I have had them forever and I think only used them once before.
I found someone that has great tutorial on you tube. Her name is Connie Stewart and she has a great blog and great videos. I spent a whole day watching them and found tons of things I wanted to case.
You can find her here . I cased this card from her. I showed it to my husband and he saided it needed something so I changed it up a little. I added the brown strips in the awning to give it some contrast and the cupcake tops instead of stamping them, I punched them out of Pink Pirouette and then stamped the sprinkles and then ran them thru the cuttlebug with the swirls embossing folder to make them look more like frosting with texture.
Check out Connies Videos! They are awesome!!!!!

The Stamps Of Life!

This was a fun card to make. All of the stamps and dies I used for this card were designed by Stephanie Bernard. She is the owner of The Stamps Of Life and also designs for Sizzix.
For this card I used the stamps and dies from the Bicycle2stamp and the card base is made from a sizzix step up card die. It comes with 21 dies and the flowers on this card were all from it.
The bicycle was fun to do. The "hello" is also from the bicycle2 stamp die set.
I made the "hello" with two different papers. The upper one I feel shows up the most. I felt the lower one kind of blended in too much and it is a little hard to read.

Happy Easter!

I made these cards for a couple of challenges. The first challenge is birthday at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge. I used a set from Simon Says/Mama Elephant called Summer Garden.
It has fun flowers and sentiments. I used a Happy Birthday from Endless Creations for the challenge and then the thinking of you from the set for the other two cards.
I am playing around with distress markers and watercoloring. I had watched a few tutorials on this and not having great success so looks like I will have to go thru and watch them again.
The brighter card, I colored on the watercolor paper directly with the markers and then used my watercolor brush to pull the colors out. The other two cards I did a combination of pulling ink off my acrylic block and putting some ink directly on the image. I stamped and embossed these with Wow! Silver Pearl Embossing Powder!
The second challenge is a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches .
Happy Easter to everyone and happy stamping!

Cased from Inking Idaho!

I cased this card from Inking Idaho . She does some of the cutest projects. She is a great Stampin Up Demonstrator. I love to see what she does every day.
I changed my card just a little from hers. This card uses the Kinda Electic set. It is a fun set to work with. I love the big sunny stamp. Also the two butterfly stamps in the set match with the butterfly punches, so that is always fun also.

Its All About the Paper!

I had something totally different in mind for this card. But when I pulled out this package of SU ds paper I found this sheet and knew I couldnt go with my original idea. This sheet cut down perfectly into six pieces to show this bottles with the ship in them. So I was able to make 6 cards with one piece. I wanted as much as the paper to show as possible. So I embossed the sentiment in white on this die cut from a SU die Then I cut out the little anchor from some basic gray paper and used some twine to attach it to the card.
Very basic card but nice also. I thought I should make some semi masculine thinking of you cards.

Simon Says!

So as I mentioned yesterday I am making cards for Taylored Expressions Share Comfort and Share Joy program. They want thinking of you cards. So I have been working on all thinking of you cards.
So far I have 40 cards to send them. I think you have until May 9th to send them in so I will be making more before I do send them in.
This one I used Simon Says stamps that were in their February(I think) stamp of the month kit. I like the flowers in this set. The sentiment is from stampin up. So far I have been able to find a different thinking of you stamp for every card set I have made. You dont realize how many you have until you start looking for them.
